WOW
I just got back from CHA. I had the pleasure of going with Fond Memories. What an experience so many things to see and you want it all. Problem is you do have to make decisions. Got to thank the JustRite team for my recent honorable mentions with them. Spellbinders has new large dies and a machine to use them with. Oh so many new papers and the discovery of some new stamp companies to add to the line at Fond Memories. One of the BIG highlights was Doreen and I became Certified with Copic Markers. We also attended some really good workshops and make'n takes for new ideas. What an experience.

Thank you to JustRite
Just wanted to share with everyone that my Groovy Snowman card received an honorable mention in the JustRite Christmas Challenge. This is my second honorable mention with them and I feel very honored. My first was Celebrate a card I made in June. If you have not tried their stamps I do believe you will enjoy working with them. JustRite does a challenge every week. It gets you thinking and of course you get to use those JustRite stamps. Have a good day and a Thank you to everyone that posted a comment.

Groovy Snowman
Groovy Snowman is the July release by JustRite. What a cute set of snowmen. JustRite is holding a Christmas in July challenge #027 using their stamps to create either a card or other holiday item. I decided I wanted to use one of the Groovy Snowmen for this challenge along with the two snow people from the new Holiday Cheer set to make a card. All of the coloring was done with Copic markers and Hero Art gems became the center of the stars. Spellbinder Circles and Big Scalloped Circles were used to cut the images. I popped the snowman up from the border which was popped up from the paper. The paper is Basic Grey Wassail "Falling Snow" and the solid from "Mantle". A little Sparklyfluff by Our Craft Lounge was used on the tree ms. Groovy is holding or is it mr. Groovy. The ribbon is from Creative Impressions. A simple card that I hope you enjoy.

Christmas Cardinals
Christmas in July seems to be very popular this week. A new stamp in my collection is from Northwoods and the focus of my Shabby Tea room Week #18 "Christmas in July" card. You may see a lot of Christmas cards in the next few weeks as I get a good start on the holiday card creating. I started by stamping with Memento Black and colored using Copic Markers. I wanted to highlight the snow so I used a glue pen and applied Sparklyfluff "Sugar" by Our Craft Lounge. To make the card I embossed my white with the Cuttlebug snowflake folder. I used the snowflake paper and My Mind's Eye -The merry days of Christmas "all Aglow" paper mounted on red from Paper Cuts. The red is the same paper that I mounted my stamped image on. Oh I used the largest Spellbinder Octagon to cut the image so in order to get the red border I used an exacto knife and hand cut it. The bow is from a crinkle white ribbon that I had. Hope you enjoy.

Just a note
JustRite Friday Challenge 026: Nice Notes, Sponsored by Spellbinders
I did this for the JustRite Friday Challenge 026-Nice Notes which is sponsored by Spellbinders. The challenge is to create a shaped note card under 4-inches. It can be a flat no-fold or traditional folded card. You are to use Spellbinders dies and JustRite Stamps. I did my card as an inside-out card and it measures 4 inches. My plan was to create a teacup using the Spellbinders octagons, ovals and circles. I started using two shades of Bazzill green. I embossed the darker with Cuttelbug "Floral Fantasy". The next step using #5 octagon (#1 being the smallest) was to cut the cup. I sprayed my cup with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist "Pearl". Ovals were used for the handle which was embellished with Magenta peel-off silver. I stamped the front using JustRite "Just a Note" set and added the silver peel-off's. The inside has an apple basket from JustRite's "Autumn Blessing". The basket and apples were colored using Copic Markers. The inside sentiment was stamped using the JustRite "Birthday Sentiments" set. I am thinking this may make a nice back to school greeting for a teacher friend. Hope you enjoy.Sunday, July 11, 2010
Just for You-Mojo146
This is done for the Mojo146 challenge and to put in the stash in case I need a quick card. I made it very simple using My Mind's Eye 'Quite Contrary" paper, a Penny Black stamp for the image and JustRite for the sentiment. Of course I used Copic Markers for the color on the cute little cat. To add the silver touch I used Magenta peel off's. The image is one I made several weeks ago into another card. I made more than one at that time. Spellbinders were used to cut the image and sentiment. With Momento Rich Cocoa I stamped little flower pots by Art Impressions onto the My Mind's Eye paper. I distressed using Ranger Rusty Hinge. A very simple card that I hope you enjoy.

On Your Special Day-Inside/Out
I am trying to redeem myself after my last post. I made this card for the JustRite Friday Challenge 025 and the Shabby Tea Room Week #17 Embossing Challenge. I used three different JustRite stamp sets to complete the card. For this card I used Bazzill pink as my color. The front of the card was embossed with Cuttlebug's Happy Birthday Folder with a twist. I made a template from chip board using my Spellbinder circles so that I did not emboss the center. I then used the JustRite Breath of Spring set to stamp the flowers which I colored using Copic Markers. I then use my Spellbinders to create a border which was embossed with the Cuttlebug Dot folder and popped it up. The ribbon is from Creative Impressions. The Sentiment on the front was stamped using JustRite Birthday Sentiments, cut and embossed with my Spellbinder circle. The inside was just a white paper stamped on the left with the same image as the front again colored with Copic Markers. On the right I used the new set All Occasions to say Happy Birthday. Hope you enjoy.
