Mimi's Heart
Mojo Monday 171. For Christmas this year I received the Copic Airbrush system which I used for the background on the stamped image. The little girl is Mimi's Heart from Penny Black and the sentiment is from a set by Our Craft Lounge. Copic Markers were used to color the image which is mounted on paper from My Mind's Eye (Lost and Found). Spellbinder dies were used as well. I used both sides of the paper and followed a sketch from Mojo Monday for the layout. Hope You Enjoy.

Blessed
This stamp set is the Elegant Autumn Swirl Leaves by Heartfelt Creations. Kathy at Fond Memories in Walnut Grove was the inspiration for the design. The leaves were stamped and embossed in white on Kraft paper. The flowers are from a set called Posy Patch by Heartfelt with a clear gem in the center. You could use flower gems to make the process go faster as I hand cut each of these. I colored the flowers with Copic markers BV000 and BV00. The sentiment is stamped in black. I mounted the card on white. Hope you enjoy

Ellie Time
Time to switch gears and think of different types of cards to make. So here goes with a very simple little Valentine card. The stamp set is Ellie Time from JustRite while the paper is from My Minds Eye. I had tried a background using my new Copic ABS with the elephant but it didn't work out the way I wanted so this is what I ended up with. I colored the elephant and mouse with Copic Markers. The elephant was cut out and placed on the CS. His vest was highlighted with a glitter pen. The hearts are from Hero Arts and the ribbon is from May Arts. A Spellbinder oval was used with the mouse stamp and Distress Antique Linen finished off the image. Hope you enjoy.

Warm Cocoa Greeting
Using the Hero Arts Cozy Moments stamp set I made this little box to hold a packet or two of cocoa. A Spellbinders die was used to frame the cup. I used my scor pal (edit: think it was at 4.5, 1.5, 4.5 and what is left is the flap on a 12 inch paper--width is your choice). Cut a strip of paper to go around again using the scor pal to make a sharp corner, put some cocoa in, seal it and a cute gift is made. This can be made or any time. I colored the image with Copic markers and used distress ink on it too.

Frosty
A little window with some Flower Soft creates a nice card for this JustRite snowman. I colored my snowman using Copic Markers and purchased the window circle at my LSS Fond Memories. I added Flower Soft for the snow effect and then put this on Basic Grey paper with a border cut from a Spellbinders circle and scallop. The mittens are the new set from Spellbinders. This was all mounted on red for a fairly simple card. Hope you enjoy

Celebrate the good times
JustRite Friday Challenge 045: Celebrate Good Times, Sponsored by Flower Soft! For this challenge I created a Christmas card using JustRite's Christmas Nested Sentiments. This was stamped, distressed with Antique Linen and then sprayed with Glimmer Mist. A border was cut from Spellbinder's Jewel Tones foil with labels 16 and embossed with snowflakes by Cuttelbug. I attended a workshop at CHA where we learned to use the iTool from Imaginisce so I used that to create the silver jewel effect on the stamped sentiment. I added a pretty double sided bow (red and silver) from May Arts. All of this was placed on paper from Cosmo Cricket, Hope you enjoy

A cardinal holiday
Heartfelt Creations comes up with some of the prettiest designs. I copied this from their site. I fell in love with this stamp at CHA and just had to have it. This was stamped some time ago and is so simple. Copic markers (many of them) , a little Stickles, some gold and red cardstock help make this a fun card to do. I used a small paint brush to apply the stickles. The cardinal is stamped a second time and layered for the finished look. Hope you enjoy.

The JustRite Challenge 044 is a color challenge sponsored by Spellbinders. The colors are Navy, Gold and Rust. The paper I selected is from Graphic 45 and highlights these colors. A toy soldier from the JustRite Vintage Christmas set is colored using Copic Markers E08, Y21, B97 which are the challenge colors plus CO, C3, C5, E00 and Spica Gold. The sentiment is from the Christmas Nested Sentiments by JustRite. The ribbon was a May Arts white which I colored using Copic E08 to get the right color to correspond with my card. This card (an inside/outside) was made to honor a very special person in my life. I lost my Aunt (age 95) last night so this card is for her. Thank you to JustRite for having the perfect stamps for me to use. The card was made using Spellbinder's labels 15, beaded ovals and an oval on the outside with Deepest Sympathy from the new JustRite Sympathy Nested Sentiments. My paper is from WeR Memory Keepers "Merry January Branch". I used both sides of the paper along with solids from Bazzill. A Day in the Country-JustRite Challenge 42 Two Looks
This week's JustRite Friday Challenge #042 is a sketch, sponsored by Inchie Arts. A Day in the Country is JustRite's new Cling set. I thought this would be perfect as a fall card or perhaps that masculine birthday you need at times. The new cling stamp just perfect. Copic markers (to many to name) were used for the color. I used the Spellbinder squares for my main cuts. I decided to use the leaves from the set to make a border, mounted on brown by Bazzill and green by Paper Cuts. The stripe is from Imaginisce: Dino-roar-Petrified Wood. I added a little bling from AMuse to the main image. Distress Ink Antique Linen was used in this project as well. Not being happy with my leaf version of this card I also did it with a plain border. I do hope you enjoy my very simple cards.

Groovy Snow Person
I really like this set of stamps from JustRite as you can see. I plan to use it for several of my holiday cards. This one was made with a little challenge from a friend to incorporate a doily into the card. I did this by painting glitter glue on it which is hard to see in this picture. The paper is from Graphic 45, the coloring is Copic of course and Spellbinders for the cuts. I think the ribbon is by May Arts. Hope you enjoy

Next I cut Bazzill gold and burgandy with a Spellbinder 16 die to make the framing. This was mounted on paper from Graphic 45 and mounted on burgandy card stock. The ribbon was white from May Arts and colored using Distress Inks: Aged Mahogany, Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge and Peeled Paint randomly. The inside(posted to the above right) was stamped on gold with another sentiment from the Natures Nested Sentiments. Trick or Treat
JustRite Friday Challenge #038, sponsored by Copic, is to make a fun Fall holiday 3D project! This could be Halloween treats, Fall decorations, Thanksgiving table decorations, etc. using your JustRite stamps. So I found a cute pattern for a purse bag on the internet (free) (http://www.scribd.com/doc/21712554/Mini-Purse-Box) and decided to make a treat bag out of it. The only Halloween stamp I have is from the JustRite Favorite Occasions Set so a pumpkin it would be. I used Spellbinder circles to cut and emboss the stamped images. Well my pumpkin with the help of my Cricut Doodlecharms cartridge became a spider on my bag. The paper is from The Girls Paperie and the ribbon from my stash (might be May Arts). I then decided to add a small band using again paper from The Girls Paperie and just the pumpkin image from the JustRite Set around a piece of candy that will go into the bag. I used the following Copic Markers to color the two images E35, E41, E99, Y08, YG95, YR04, YR07, YR65 and 110. (I get a little carried away in my colors) I used Distress Antique Linen on both images. Hope you enjoy.

JustRite Friday Challenge #037
This week the JustRite Friday Challenge 037 is a sketch challenge. I decided to use "tinsel and twig" from Girls Paperie for my paper with the solid from Bazzill. The focus stamp is from the JustRite Christmas Nested Sentiments with a little pinecone colored with copics enhancement from the Holiday Cheer set. Snowflake gems from Hero Arts were mounted on a strip that was cut with the Martha Stewart modern garland punch. A small Hero Arts snowflake is mounted on the circle that was cut with Spellbinders. The dotted border is the back side of the main card paper. A red stickles berry was added along with a little Star Dust stickles on the pinecone itself. A glitter pen was used on the ribbon and a green ribbon was added from May Arts. Hope you enjoy.

Joy this Christmas
Today's JustRite Friday Challenge #036 is to use this color combination plus you were to add an embellishment you have made.
For this challenge I decided to make an easel card using the Justrite Christmas Nested Sentiments as the focal point. This was stamped on ivory paper with Memento ink and then cut with a Spellbinder octagon die. A Black frame was cut and mounted on the ivory paper. The octagon was mounted on paper from Cosmo Cricket from their Mitten Weather Mini Deck. The fleur was made freehanded using Amuse pretty pearls black. The flower was cut from the Cosmo Cricket paper and the ivory card stock with the large scallop dies from Spellbinder and crumbled. The edges of the flower were distressed with Ranger Distress Black Soot and held together with an ivory pearl brad from American Crafts. A clear button was mounted over a cute little snow lady colored with Copic markers from the JustRite Holiday Cheer set and placed on Cosmo Cricket paper to add a little festive touch to the card. A Martha Stewart punch was used for the lattice on the base. Hope you enjoy.

This is a new company at my LSS Fond Memories and they are so much fun to use. I made this card for Fond Memories. A simple card using Copic markers, A Spellbinder oval and Paper Cut paper. Three stamps were used (and I do not have their name) to finish the card. To finish off I used a little Distress Antique Linen and some Sparkly fluff from Our Craft Lounge. Hope you enjoy.

I used Ranger Distress "Antique Linen to distress the image while still in the die. The white on the hat was enhanced with the Sparkly fluff as well as the snow on the greeting tag. The ribbon was from my stash. What a simple card. Must have been as I made two posts today. Hope you enjoy.
JustRite Friday Challenge 035: Christmas in September
JustRite Friday Challenge 035: Christmas in September is sponsored by Spellbinders. The challenge is to make a Christmas/holiday tag with your JustRite stamps. Spellbinders dies are the PERFECT tool for making tags -- most any of their die shapes work great to make a tag shape! (But they are not a requirement for this challenge). For my project two JustRite stamp sets were used: Holiday Cheer (the front image) and From Our House Set (back of the tag). Graphic 45 has an 8 x8 Christmas Past pad that I selected two patterns from. This is great for when you have a paper you really like but the image is to large. Several companies are coming out with these pads for making cards. Several Spellbinder dies were used to complete the project. Two new sets were used: Heirloom Ornaments and Beaded Circles. Other Spellbinder dies used included a portion of an older snowflake, scallop circle and a square. Ranger Distress, Antique Linen was used on the edges. Copic Markers were used to color the images. I selected a gold ribbon, a small gem stone and a glitter brad from my stash to finish the tag. Since this is a tag I have finished both sides. Hope you enjoy
