JustRite Papercraft is holding a color challenge (inspiration photo is below) of aqua, apricot and orange. I began by finding Bazzil and Hero Arts papers that would be close to those colors. I then cut a flower with the Spellbinders Aster Topper die set. To finish off the flower I used Copic markers BG15, YR16 and YR68 to color pearls to make the center of the flower. An aqua paper was embossed with a Sizzix floral folder leaving a spot to stamp. This was achieved by using the Tim Holtz embossing diffuser. The sentiment is from the JustRite stamp set "Botanical Medallions & Banners. This is a 4.25 x 5.5 card. A very simple card. Hope you enjoy.
One of the most rewarding things is to share with others the works you have done.

Tilda Princess of the Valley
For sometime I have wanted to get a Tilda stamp and create with it. My LSS was able to special order it for me and this is my first card using the stamp. I ordered it to make a birthday card for a special Princess in my family. This card was made for the Joan's Garden challenge-a child's card and the Oozak.com blog challenge. It was a lot of fun and a simple card. I hand cut the stamped image so it would appear to be sitting. A fun card for me to make. Hope you enjoy.

Celebrate your day....your way!
"Your Way" is a Penny Black slapstick stamp set. When I saw this stamp I just had to buy it. I made this as a birthday card, but could easily be a Father's Day card as well. The sentiment is part of the stamp set and fits the day well. Since my Father passed away sometime ago I really do not have a need to make one specific to the day. With that in mind I still put this card in the My Sheri Crafts challenge for Fathers Day. I made the card is for a very special member of my family (my son) who has a birthday coming up. The paper is from Bella BLVD "Midterm" that I received at a CHA workshop two years ago. I was saving it for just that right stamp and it finally came along. I added on the computer screen the Happy BD. I used a variety of Copic Markers in grays, browns, green and a touch of yellow. and blue to create my stamped image. The red paper was added for an additional punch of color. The card is a 5 x 7. Hope you enjoy.

JustRite Friday Challenge #074 - "Vintage Masculine"
The JustRite Friday Challenge #074 is to create a vintage Masculine card. This is my take on the card challenge. I began with the "Anchors Away" stamp set. Since it is nautical I looked for paper that reminded me of water. Authentiques new Fresh "Free" paper fit my criteria. The next step was to make it look even more like water so I went into my pile of embossing folders and found my Cuttlebug "Swirls" to emboss the DP paper. I wanted to give the illusion of waves and rough water in an ocean. The next step was to distress the paper so I used Antique Linen over the front and went back with Walnut Stain on the edges and a few areas on the main card. Earlier I had tried Picket Fence to see if I could make it look like white caps but that did not work. The die shaped map was stamped on white with Archival Ink and distressed with the Antique Linen and Walnut Stain. I cut this by hand since I do not have the die set. I cut the center out with a Spellbinder circle die and added what I hope looks like a nautical rope. The string used was black and white and I distressed it with Rusty Hinge and then used glossy accents to get it to stay in place. The old ship image was stamped in black on a Bazzil blue (the backside) and distressed with Antique Linen. This now reminded me of a ships port hole looking from out from one ship to another. The sentiment was stamped on white and distressed with Antique Linen, cut by hand and popped on the card front. This was all mounted on Kraft paper edged with Walnut Stain to give that older look. I had fun making a card without coloring, ribbon bow or gems. Do hope you enjoy.
Christmas in Summer
Good morning. This has been a busy week and I looked seeing that no posts had been made. Earlier I said I was doing a Christmas in Summer class. Well the class is over for June. July and August yet to be designed. Today I am sharing a card made with Rejoice from JustRite. I do not remember the paper company used in this card (edit: the paper is from TPC). Sorry about the picture, but took it on a table at the workshop. The card is rather simple. Inks used were Forest Moss Distress and Memento black on this card. Hope you enjoy
