Thinking of You
This time of the year everyone needs a touch of spring and this paper from Little Darlings "Summer Swirl/Minty" fills that bill. A Spellbinder "Whimsical Tree" was cut in white and clear gems from Kaiser were added. The DP was cut with a Spellbinder Labels 18 and were layered on the DP to help form this A2 card. Antique Linen Distress Ink was used on the die cut in order to highlight them on the DP. The butterfly was cut from a scrap paper with a Memory Box die. A Thinking of You sentiment from a JustRite set and ribbon helped finish off this card. Hope you enjoy.

JustRite Friday Challenge #091 - Color Challenge
Oozak Anything Goes + Your favorite color challenge
This card was made using the new Sizzix movers and shapers die. Echo Park paper "Style essentials" was used for the main cut. Two shades of Bazzill gray completed the paper for this card. On the front (above) the insert has a gray that was cut with a Spellbinders Label 18 to make a frame. Kaiser pearls were colored with a Copic N6 and were formed to create the swirls. The flowers were cut with a Memory Box die and a larger pearl was used for the center again colored with the Copic marker. The back side of the card shown below was stamped with a JustRite verse from their new set Poppies. The flower was cut from Bazzil gray using a Memory Box die. A fun die to use so Hope you enjoy.Monday, February 18, 2013
Tall Flowers
A quick post to share a very simple card. The idea for this came from the online card class I recently took. The stamp is "Tall Flowers" from Hero Arts. The tag is from a set by Jullian Vance Designs. The image was stamped on Desert Storm paper with Versa Mark and embossed in White. A red and green distress pen were selected to color the one large and one small flower. Very simple. Hope you enjoy.

Thinking of You
JustRite Stampers are hosting a sketch challenge . This card is made with the same stamp set as my previous post "JustRite Poppies". I decided to create my own background with the JustRite "Elegant Fronds Background Stamp. I embossed it and then added Bundled Sage distress stain. The Poppies were stamped with Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers. (R24, YG93, YG95, Y18, W5). This was then cut with Spellbinder labels 22 and distressed with Antique Linen. The paper strip is from the Kaiser "75Cents" 6x6 pad. The butterfly border is from the same 6x6 pad. A Spellbinder Edgeabilities was cut and distressed with the Bundled Sage and added to the paper strip. A piece of white paper was cut and distressed with the same Bundled Sage and stamped with Thinking of You from the JustRite "Sympathy" set. The ribbon is from May Arts. The butterflies were cut out of white with a Memory Box die, then colored with Copic R24 and Stickles "Star Dust" was used to finish them off. Hope you enjoy.

Poppies
JustRite Friday Challenge is anything goes creating with one of your favorite stamps. Poppies a new stamp from JustRite and it is on my favorites list. This card is an A2 made with Kaiser 6 x6 75 Cents paper, All of the DP elements are from the paper pad. The flower was stamped with Memento ink on Neenah solar white and a cutter was used to trim the paper on the right side. The next step was to fussy cut part of the stamped image. Copic markers: YG 67, YG 63, R24, Y02 and C5 were used to color the poppies. Glossy accents were placed in the center of two flowers to help pop them. The sentiment was stamped with archival ink and heat embossed in clear. The pearls are from Kaiser. Hope you enjoy.

Happy Birthday
This is another card I made using an idea from the Online card Class "clean and simple 2". For the flower a Penny Black "blooming garden" was stamped in Memento nautical blue. Using a water brush you start where it has stamped darker and work that out into the white area. That is how the flowers becomes the color you stamped in. Perfect Pearl gold was used for the center of the flower. The sentiment was stamped in the same blue using Hero Arts "It's your day". This card was stamped on Neenah solar white. Think the next card will be made using water color paper. Hope you enjoy.
