No stamp card

I wanted a card that would be just a little different for someone special in our family.  Using Graphic 45 "Off to the races" paper this card was created.  The flowers were cut by hand and using foam tape added to the card.  Hope you enjoy!

Embossing folder two

This folder is from Crafters Companion.  I wanted to give a wax look to it so used gold mousse and with my finger added the detail to the black embossed paper.  The Sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.  Hope you enjoy!

Mail Art

I am going to do a class at Fond Memories on Mail Art.  These are two examples for that class.  The top card was made using a Taylored Expressions set and the other a Concord&9.  Will share more later.  Hope you enjoy!

Grapic 45 Winter Wonderland

This is a no stamping card. It was made using the Graphic 45 Winter Wonderland papers, the Tim Holtz punch and Penny Black Poinsettia die.  A little snow was added to finish off this 4 x 6 card.  Hope you enjoy.

Caring Hearts card drive

The Caring Hearts team are excited to continue bringing holiday cheers to many nursing homes.  Last year 66,000 cards were made and distributed to nursing homes.  Read more about it in the link below.

Art Impressions Nativity

This is a Tryfold card using the Art Impressions "Nativity" set and Taylored Expressions "Twinkle Twinkle".  The card was painted using Distress Ink spray stains.  The background was clear embossed using the TE stamp set and Stormy Sky Distress Ink created the background color.   Hope you enjoy.

Haunted House Project

A class that I will be hosting.  This was a fun project to create.

Create your own unique Haunted House at Fond Memories.  Everything will be cut and some ahead prep done for you.  All of the paints and embellishments will be a part of the class.  You do not need to bring anything for this class.  Cost $25.00  When:  Thursday, October 12, 2:00pm with a repeat class Friday, October 20 at 10:00am.  Additional classes will be added as needed.  Call Fond Memories to register for this class at 507-859-2929.

Holiday card

A holiday card using a Penny Black poinsettia with Bo Bunny glitter paste on a background cut with a Our Daily Bread Design die.  The sentiment is from Penny Black stamped on Royal Fiber paper.  The patterned paper is a 6x6 from Authentique.  Hope you enjoy.

This card is 100% Cased from Taylored Expressions.  The three dies are all from Taylored Expressions.  The oval from my stash of dies.  The Distress inks used:  Broken China, Fossilzied Amber, Antique Linen.  Hope you enjoy

Rainbow Ink

This card was made for the upcoming Taylored Expressions class at Fond Memories using the Rainbow Ink technique from the Online Card class Rainbow Maker.  Distress Oxide Inks were used for this card.

I Love Coffee

This card was cased and tweaked from Our Daily Bread Designs.  The stamp set is "I Love Coffee" with the "Beverage Cup" die set.  The paper used is Authentique.  The ribbon is seam binding colored with Gathered Twigs distress ink.  Hope you enjoy!

MFT Loveable Leopards

Thank you to the MFT Design Team for the inspiration for this card.  The stamp is "Loveable Leopards" colored with Copic Markers.  The clouds were formed using the MFT cloud stencil and created with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink.    Hope you enjoy.

I saw an idea similar to this on Pinterest.  This card was made using score tape and Nuvo "Aqua" and "Chocolate Brown" glitter.  A fun card to make.  Hope you enjoy

Altenew Flowers

This card was made using Altenew's  Build-a-Flower: Ranunculus stamp set.  The flowers were also stamped using Altenew inks.  A pretty easy birthday card to make.  The die set comes separate for this set.  Hope you enjoy!

My Super Hero

"My Super Hero" is a stamp set from Taylored Expressions.  The background was inked with Distress Oxide ink.  The moon is Oxide that was pressed with a round dauber. The background was sprayed with water.  The Super Hero was colored with Copic Markers.  The city silhouette was cut using the Silhouette Cameo.   A fun card to make for a Super Hero.  Hope you Enjoy.

More Flowers with Penny Black

I have a weakness for flower stamps as they make such pretty cards.  This card was made using the Penny Black stamp "Flower Medley".  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.  Copic markers were used to color the stamped image.  Hope you enjoy.

This is a card from the Everything Flower class at Fond Memories in Walnut Grove.  I found the idea for this card on Pinterest. 

Graduation

Graduation season is here.  This card was made using a Darci embossing folder and a Stampers Anonymous "mini motivation" set.  A Gelli Press was inked in black, silver and a dot of red ink.  The embossing folder was pressed into it.  The next step will create two cards.  The first you press paper onto the press and lift.  The second (this card) put paper into the embossing folder and run it through your machine.  The effect makes a very nice card.  The sentiment was white embossed on black. A black twine bow was attached.  Hope you enjoy.

Sparkle and Shine-Foiling

This was stamped on water paper.  The stamp is from Stampers Anonymous "Illustrated Garden" and was stamped with Versamark.  Ranger Sticky embossing powder was added to the stamped image and melted.  Gold foil was then rubbed onto the stamped image.  Water colors in shades of red and green were used to color the flower with a blue border added.  The sentiment is Penny Black.

This card was made using the TCW stencil "Flower Frenzy", kraft paper and Nuvo Embellishment Indian Gold.  Hope you enjoy!

Sparkle and Shine Day 1-Glitter

The new Sparkle and Shine Online Card Class began today with different ways to use glitter.  The card shown here uses the Glitter Die Cut Inlay demonstrated by Jennifer McGuire.

Using wide score tape a 4.25 by 5.5 white card stock was cut with a Taylored Expressions Ornate Frame Cutting Plate.  Portions of the tape were removed so that the mint glitter could be adhered to the card base.  The card needed more contrast so a black frame was cut and offset a little to help finish the card.  The greeting is from Penny Black -Stitched Flowers.  Adhesive was put on the wood butterflies and gold glitter added.  Have to say it was not the big glitter mess that I expected.  A small amount of glitter went a long ways as it was pressed by hand into the tape.  Hope you enjoy.

Garden Treasures

The large flower was layered using the Altenew Garden Treasures stamp set and Altenew inks. The smaller flowers were colored with pencil. The Birthday greeting is from Hero Arts and was clear embossed. Nuvo Crystal drops, black for flower centers and gold on the card. This was mounted on orange cardstock.  Hope you enjoy.

Sweet and Sassy Flowers

Need a quick to stamp card.  This was created using a stamp set from Sweet & Sassy "Floral Greetings".  The white paper was cute to a 4.25 square and stamped with Versafine Black ink.  This was mounted on a dark gray top fold card base.  The sentiment was white embossed and Nuvo white was used for the gems.  A bow was added and the card was complete.  Hope you enjoy,

Ink Cube Storage

I was reading a storage forum and just had to order this to store my ink cubes in.  This is a  large 5 drawer jewelry and cosmetic storage unit.  I found mine on Amazon, but they are available from other sources.  My drawer with the Altenew inks has room for 28 cubes in it and with room to remove them (I have some pushed back so you can see there is room).  It is about 10 1/2 inches wide, 7 inches wide and 6 inches high.  Always trying to find a better way to store my supplies so thought I would share this.

Looking Back

It is always fun to look back and see what you may have been doing in your crafting.  This card was one I posted April 2nd six years ago.  My first blog post was April 2010.  I am hoping to get back to more frequent posts in the near future.

The Tags continue

This was another tag I recently created using Sweet & Sassy and Tim Holtz Stamps.  The background used Tim Holtz mini stencils.  Tom Bow markers were used to color along with Distress inks.  Hope you enjoy.

Tags as Cards

Tags as Cards was a class I recently hosted at Fond Memories.  This is one of the tags we made.

Tim Holtz thinlet tag dies by Sizzix were used to make all of our tags.  The stencil is a Tim Holtz mini and the stamp is from the wildflower set.  The inks used were Peacock feathers and Vintage photo.  The ribbon was colored with the Peacock feathers.  Hope you enjoy.

I am having fun creating pieces using the Tim Holtz Sizzix dies.  This was one of my first creations.  More to come and a class at Fond Memories down the line.  Hope you enjoy

Tag with Embossing paste

This tag was colored with Fossilized Amber distress stain.  This was followed with embossing paste colored with the same stain and a mini stencil #1.  Faded Jeans distress ink and mini stencil #2 dots was added.  Images were stamped or added with stencil to embellish the tag.  Gear added some dimension.  The words are from Waffle Flower.  Hope you enjoy.

Frame card

Another card for the Everything Tim class.  This card uses the Tim Holtz Cabinet frames, Punch, words die, stencil and pine come embellishments.  Distress stain was used on the frame.  The snowflakes and words were added with embossing paste.  The background trees are a stencil created with tumbled glass distress stain.  These were left in place and the tree added with Forest Moss.  The ribbon was colored with Fossilized amber. The word birthday was stamped using a word set from Tim Holtz stamps.  Hope you enjoy

Mixed Media Card

This is a card for the Everything Tim Class at Fond Memories.  Embossing paste is used to create the base for the quilted design.  The paper cuts are from a Sizzix die and Wildflowers were stamped with archival black.  The base of the card started by treating the paper with gesso and adding distress ink in tumbled glass and bundled sage.  The final card was distressed in ground espresso.  Hope you enjoy.
