A Bright Tomorrow

I took a quick picture with my phone to share this card that I designed for the Fond Memories workshop.    "A Bright Tomorrow" is a stamp from Penny Black.  The paper is new from Carta Bella and I wondered for a while if it would arrive in time for the workshop.   I wanted to heat emboss on a paper with pattern and this was perfect.  The paper is a dark burgandy,   I  cut the corner and then used a brush to roll the cut on the corner twice.  Work it so it looks like a piece of paper rolled back.  I really like this stamp set as it has so many other choices to stamp on it.  I plan to use this on several of my holiday cards this year.  Hope  you enjoy.

The Supplies:

White on White

If you are looking for a card that looks really time consuming or hard, but can be done in a few minutes this is it. I decided to put this in the JustRite Friday Challenge #082  "Be Supportive", yet this card can be made for any occasion.  The background was cut with the new Spellbinder "Fancy Lattice" and mounted on a white base.  Flower petals from Memory Box were cut and added with a pearl center.  The sentiment was cut with a new Spellbinder tag and stamped with a JustRite With Sympathy sentiment.  Very simple.  Hope you enjoy

Fall Foliage

A few weeks ago I posted a fall card using this same paper, but one that took some time to create.  This is a super simple card.  The background paper cut a little ragged is from Reminisce "Autumn Plaid.  The Sentiment is from Penny Black "Sweet wishes" was stamped with Ranger Black Archival ink and cut with The new Spellbinder "Fancy Framed Tags Two" set (the green is from the back of DP).  This cut was then distressed with Antique Linen.   The leaves were cut and embossed with the new Spellbinder "Fall Foliage set" out of Bazzill paper and distressed with Antique Linen.  Rather simple, but have not had a lot of time to play so Hope you Enjoy.

Peaceful Season

Hello.  I have been so busy getting my cards ready for the Fall workshop at Fond Memories that I have not made anything new for here.  This card which you have not seen (unless you have been to FM) was from the summer workshop.  The bird and sentiment both are from Prickley Pear.  I used a Spellbinder label and tag to cut the card.  American Craft red is the frame for the bird which wass tamped in Memento Black and colored with red Copic markers then distressed with Antique Linen.  The berries are a Pearl Pen red and stickles.  The base for the card is a teal from Bazzill.  The background paper which matches this stamp perfectly is from paper that I do not remember the company  (sorry).  Hope you enjoy and I promise fall cards will be coming.

More Let it Snow

A couple of weeks ago I posted a different version of this card.  The tree for that card had been cut in green.  This card has been embossed with a Sizzix folder and then sprayed with Perfect Pearls.  The embossed folder and card base both have the corners punched out.  The tree was cut with a Spellbinder die and red gems were added.  A Spellbinder ribbon banner was stamped with a JustRite sentiment to finish off a rather simple card.  I have entered this in the My Sheri Crafts "White on White" Challenge.  Hope you Enjoy

Warm Wishes

Hello.  I decided I should share a card that I had the June Christmas in Summer card class at Fond Memories make.  This uses a stamp from Prickley Pear and a greeting from JustRite.  The card is really rather simple.  All you need are some brown and green markers to color the pine cones and branches, gems, paper, the stamp and ink.  I used a red from Bazzill here and the DP is from Authentique.  A little stickles added some glimmer to the card.  If you do not have red gems take your silver or pearl and color.  Rather simple.  Everyone loved the idea that this was not centered.  Hope you enjoy

More Than One Fold

JustRite Friday Challenge #080 - More Than One Fold    This  week the challenge at JustRite is to create a card with more than one fold.

1. The first step was to cut paper from Reminisce "Autumn Plaid" into a 6 x 12 along with a piece of card stock.   The next step was to attach the paper to each side of the card stock so I had the front and back of the DP visible.  I then scored the paper every 3 inches to create four flaps.  On the left side I started about 2 inchs and began a free hand cut to the third score line at 6 inchs to create my card.  The top edges were distressed with Vintage Photo. The card when folded is 3 x6.

 2.  Next was to stamp the JustRite "Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves" on Solar White and distressed them with : Vintage Photo, Rusty Hing, Peeled Paint, Tea Dye and Wild Honey to try and create a fall leaf color.  The leaves from the stamp set were cut by hand.

3.  The ribbon which comes to the front through a slit in the fold was colored with Wild Honey stain  and a Doodlebug charm was added over a tag from Memory Box which was stamped with a sentiment from the JustRite set and distressed with Vintage Photo.

 4.  The inside again has the leaves from the  JustRite set.  Spellbinder circles were used to cut the sentiment.  A Kraft paper was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa. This was mounted on a circle that was embossed with a Sizzix 'Distress Stripes ' folder.  Both circles were cut to help form the edge of the card.

5.  The back of the card has  a Spellbinder labels 18 tag and was stamped with Dear Friend from the JustRite set. This was distressed with Vintage Photo.   A small leaf was added as a finishing touch
