Happy Holiday

A simple card design using Bazzill paper, A sentiment from the JustRite Holiday word set, a stamp from Prickley Pear and copic Markers.  Select two shades of red and green to color the stamped image.  (I misplaced my notes on this card so can not say exactly which markers I used).   The sentiment was stamped with Versa mark and Tinsel glitter was used.  This was a card for my summer holiday card class an done I plan to make more of for this holiday..  Hope you enjoy

SPOOKY

I have a few special Halloween treats to give and that is what inspired this post.  I started with a tube purchased at my LSS and SRM stickers.  Each tube will have a slightly different looking depending on what stickers are used.  The stickers are at the top below the cap and the bottom of the tube.   I then filled them with fall M&M's.  The tag is from  Inkssentials and was sprayed with water followed by Forest Moss, Rusty Hinge and Tea Dye Distress stains.  I then misted the tag again and blotted off the extra water.  When it had tried I stamped an image using "Skeleton Poem" by Stampendous using Ranger archival black ink.  Gold eyes using Kasier gems finished the skeleton.  It would not be spooky without adding a spider crawling down to the skeleton.  The spider was cut using a Memory Box die.  A orange and black ribbon hold the tag to the tube.  Hope you enjoy.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween.  Isn't this stamp from Penny Black the cutest.  This is "bat cat" and it was colored with Copic Markers (C0, C1, C3,G46, R20, FYG1, V17, YR16, YR18) and hand cut.  This was mounted on paper from BoBunny Apple Cider 6 x 6 pad.  The bats were cut with a Memory Box die.  I cheated and the Happy Halloween is a sticker from SMR Stickers.  I added Glossy Accents to the stems on each pumpkin and the eyes of the cat.  A piece of twine finishes off the card.  I decided to enter this in My Sheri Crafts challenge.  This is an A2 card.  Hope you Enjoy.

Holiday Cheer

This card was made for the JustRite Friday Challenge #083  "Threes Company".  The card is a 5.5 square which worked best with all of the dies used.  I used four different papers from the paper pad all that coordinate very well.  The background and ornament are a solid.  Three different prints were used for the rest of the card.  This goes into the stash for the upcoming Christmas Holiday.   Hope you enjoy

Petal Party Two

This card was made using the Penny Black " Petal Party" .  I am not going to take the full credit for the design.  I did see a card  that inspired this.   All you need is some White Cardstock, embossing ink and powder and in this case some Memento pads.  I cut a strip about 2 x 5.5 and stamped my flower and leaves on it with Versa Mark and then added white embossing powder which was then heat set. The card is 4.25 x 5.5.   I did do one flower separate so I could cut it and pop it on the card.  I used Memento Morocco and New Sprout to distress my stamped strip.  The flower was distressed with the Morocco ink and a Rich Cocoa marker was used to color the center.  Remember to white the image off after distressing to clean up the embossing.  The sentiment was stamped with archival black ink to complete the card.  A very quick and simple card to make.  Hope  you enjoy

Seasons Greetings

This is the last of the cards that I did for the Fall workshop.  When I saw that Memento Teal color I knew I had to use it.  Below are the directions.  Hope you enjoy.

Supplies:

Stamps
            JustRite: Large Fancy Holiday Sentiments
            JustRite:  Snowfall background
Dies
            Spellbinders: Create a Flake Four
Paper:
White card base cut 5.5 x 8.5  score at 4.25 for an A2 card
White 4.25 x 5.5 (to stamp the background)
            White 1 x 4.25 ( to stamp the sentiment)

American Craft Glitter White cut 1.25 x 4.25  and the Snowflake
Ink:
            Memento Teal Zeal
            Archival (Ranger or Versafine) Black
Gems:
            Kaiser silver or clear
Misc:
            Gelly Roll pen-Silver or Clear
            Pop dots

1.  Stamp the background stamp using Teal Zeal on  the 4.25 x 5.5.  The card is smaller than the stamp so line up the top of the card with the top of the stamp  (HINT:  place the paper on top of the stamp, use a scrap piece of paper and press over the full surface).  Mount this on the card base.

2.  Using the Gelly Roll pen highlight five (5) snowflakes on the top and another five (5) on the bottom.

3.  Place one gem in the center of each snowflake.

4.  Line up the White Glitter strip over the unstamped area of the background and adhere to card.

5.  Stamp Sentiment on the plain white strip  to the right leaving room for the snowflake and center over the glitter strip.

6.  Add the Snowflake cut with the AC Glitter paper and Spellbinder Die.  Put a gem in the center.  Pop Dot this to raise it on the card.

Petal Party

It National Card Making Day and I just had to make something to share here and in the Penny Black blog gallery.  This card is made with the Penny Black Wall paper print background stamped in Rich Cocoa, distressed with Rusty Hinge and cut 2 3/4 by 5.25.  It was then placed on Kraft paper cut to 4.25 x 5.5 with a brown ribbon separating the two paper.  A Bazzill orange was cut to 3 x3 square with the corners rounded.  A Bazzill brown was cut with a circle Spellbinder and embossed with a Sizzix folder.  The flowers were stamped with Versa Mark and embossed with white followed with Rusty Hinge distress.  The flowers were hand cut.  The sentiment was stamped on Kraft and edged with the rusty hinge.  Hope you enjoy

Gatefold card

This card which I designed for the fall workshop at Fond Memories was inspired by Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace during the summer Spellbinder release.  I have included the full direction on making this gatefold card.  The hardest part is taking the time to make all of the cuts.  Hope you enjoy.

Supplies:
Bazzill Kraft paper  (cut 6x12)  (square cut 4.5 x 4.5)
Bazzill Teal  (cut 4.75 x 4.75)  (center will be used to cut 2 5/8 square)
Bazzill Cream  (cut 3 x 6) and (3.75 x 3.75) and a scrap for filigree
Spellbinder Die:  Majestic Marvelous Squares
Memory Box flower
Spellbinder Garden Lattice M-Bossabilities Folder
Ranger Distress Antique Linen
Kaiser and Hero Arts Pearl Gems
Pop Dots or 3M tape

1.  Take your 6 x 12 Kraft paper and score at 3 inches and 9 inches to form a 6 x 6 base
2.  With the 3 x 6 Cream emboss with the Garden Lattice and distress with Antique Linen (optional).  Attach this to the right front side
3.  Cut the Teal 4.75 square and Kraft 4.5 square.  Using Spellbinder Marvelous Square #6 (largest) align so the Teal forms a border around the Kraft square.  Use a repositionable tape over the dies and paper in order to cut both at the same time.  Adhere the Kraft to the teal.  Apply tape to the left side, top edge and bottom edge for about  2 inches.  Adhere to the card base on the left.
4.  Cut the 3.5 Cream square with  Die # 5 with the decorative edge. Apply tape to the right side, and adhere to the right side of the card.  Place a Kaiser Craft gem in each corner.
5.  With the teal left from the center of the card cut Die #4 (2 5/8 square) centering it.  Follow this by embossing with Die # 3 (2.25 square).  Adhere this to the Cream center using pop dots.  The left over Teal can be used in the center of the card to frame a sentiment.
6.  Cut the flower from cream with the Memory Box Die.  Pop dot this to the teal.  Add the Hero Arts Gem
 7.  With scraps of Cream cut the #3 die for the filigree.  Place one in the upper left corner and the other in the lower right.  Add a pearl gem.

Jolly Friends

Isn't this little guy soooo cute.  He comes from the Penny Black set "Jolly Friends" and the sentiment from the Penny Black "A bright tomorrow".  Copic Markers were used to color the stamped image.(B0000, BG05, Rooo, 100 and Co)  Ranger enamel and Hero Arts glitter were used to form the snow.  The new Tinsel from the Tim Holtz collection was used on the hat.  A frame was cut using a Spellbinder oval out of Bazzill white OP to frame the image.  Red gems from Kaiser Craft were used on the holly branch.  The sentiment was stamped and corners rounded to finish the card.
