Peace Love Joy

Peace, Love, Joy  is a stamp set from Hero Arts "Greetings for the Holiday".  The sentiment was stamped on a white that the ends were hand cut and then distressed with Antique Linen.  It is such a nice set and works perfect with the stamped image from Prickley Pear.  The flower was colored with Copic R46 and R59 while the leaves were YG 93, and YG95.  The image was cut with a Spellbinder oval and distressed with Antique Linen.  The base card is Royal Fiber Birch and was dry embossed with a Sizzix snowflake folder.  Both the stamped image and sentiment were popped while the corners were rounded to finish off the card.  Very simple.  Hope you enjoy

In looking at ideas on the internet I found a card that inspired this project.  The stamps are from Penny Black.  The background is "Winter Berries" and stamped with Adirondack "Hazelnut".  The greeting is another Penny Black "Christmas Cheer" stamped in archival black and clear embossed.  The deer is a die from Tim Holtz and Sizzix cut with the new mirror product by Tim Holtz.  If you look close you can get the image of the camera.  The paper is from Kaiser " Just Believe".  The larger berries were highlighted with Glossy Accents.  The finished size of the card is a 5.5 square.  Grand Labels One by Spellbinders was used to cut the card.  Do Hope you enjoy.

A splash of winter

Want a simple card?  This card fits the definition of simple.  The tree is a stamp by Penny Black "a splash of winter" embossed in white on white card stock.  The next step was to spray the stamped image with Imagine Crafts Fireworks "Bahama Blue" and allow it to dry.  Fireworks has a little glimmer to it.  An oval was cut using a Spellbinder die from Bazzil cardstock.  The sentiment is another Penny Black set "Christmas Cheer" stamped using Ranger archival black and then embossed using clear embossing powder.    Hope you enjoy.

Joy, Jolly, Peace

Joy, Jolly,  Peace is inspired by the Online Card class that I recently took.  This is a very simple card.  I began by cutting a piece of white 2.75 inch by 3.5 inch.  Next using an embossing folder by Sizzix I found a section that I wanted to emboss.  The next step is to lightly brush across the embossed image with Copic BG10 and E50.  Just do this lightly followed by Distress Stain Picket fence.  Allow to dry and then distress the edges with Antique Linen.  I made an A2 card base and rounded the corners.  A 2 x 5.5 piece was cut from Kaiser "Just Believe" and adhered to the card base.  I popped the embossed piece and added two snowflakes.  The snowflakes were cut using an Impression Obsession die and Bazzill Bling-white.  As I said before a very simple card.  Hope you enjoy.

Believe

Sorry about not posting a new holiday card these past few days, but have started to mass produce one of the recent posts.  This card was made using SRM stickers and designed by them too.  It was another one of the cards from the sticker workshop this past week.  Really simple, but I feel a very nice looking card.  I have a few of these to make too and plan to make a few new designs this coming week.  Have some Penny Black and Hero Arts I want to try out.   Till then-Hope you enjoy.

Peace and Joy

This post is the same design with a little change as the card posted yesterday.  The poinsettia was made using  the new Tim Holtz rock candy glitter and cut with a Spellbinder die.  To make it I used wide (1 1/2 inch) score tape on card stock and cut the flower.  The next step was to peal off the protective paper and add the glitter pressing it firmly into the tape.  A gem was added to the center.  The sentiment is from Penny Black "Christmas Cheer" stamped with archival ink and then heat embossed in clear.  The folder is a snowflake from Sizzix.  Hope you enjoy

Merry Christmas

This festive Holiday card was inspired by one from the Online Card Class designed by Jennifer McGuire.  For my card I used a Sizzix snowflake embossing folder and the Tim Holtz diffuser.  The diffuser is an oval shape with Merry Christmas from a Penny Black set stamped with archival black.  The Poinsettia is from a Spellbinder set with a little glitter pen added to the center.   A twine sits behind the flower to finish off the card.  This is one of those that only take minutes to make.  Hope you enjoy.

tis the season

These are two cards I made in a sticker workshop at my LSS Fond Memories.  The cards are from SRM stickers and designed by them.  We made 8 cards in under 45 minutes.  Short on time this is an answer to quick cards.  Fond Memories purchased these as kits for the workshop.  We used "We've got your sticker #53006 Merry" for this project.  For those that shop FM I bet some kits are left.   fun to make and I hope you enjoy

Ragged Santa Card

While making the tag in the previous post I was coloring this on Neenah card stock.  The Penny Black stamp used is Ragged Santa.  The colors are all the same with the main color being E08.  When done I decided to use the new Spellbinder Decorative Oval and mounted this on a Grand Oval out of Bazzill green.  A Ribbon Banner Lg and a sentiment from Penny Black Christmas Cheer was used for the greeting.  Antique Linen is the Distress Ink used on this card.

Season Greetings

I am having so much fun making a card each day.  I may end up with enough for the holiday if I keep going till Christmas is here.  This card was inspired by the Online Holiday Card class to use die cuts.  As if I needed something to inspire a die cut, but it worked.  When the class is over at the end of the week I am going to have to continue to be inspired all on my own.

I have decided to also put it in the JustRite Friday Challenge #085-Happy Holiday.  This is a 4.25 x 5.5 card.  All stamps used are from JustRite and listed below.  The sentiment banner was clear embossed which is hard to see in the picture.   The Button snowflake was adhered with Glossy Accents and is from Bo Bunny.  A very simple to make so I hope you enjoy.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Justrite:  Noel Christmas Ornaments and Large Fancy Holiday Sentiments.
 Paper:  Carta Bella-Christmas Day 6 x6 pad
Dies:  Spellbinder Ribbon Banners Large and the JustRite (Spellbinder) Holiday Heirloom 2011.
Inks:  Memento-Northern Pine and Rhubarb Stalk.    Distress Ink: Iced Spruce

Warm winter wishes

"Warm winter wishes" was inspired by a card designed by Kristina Werner for the Online Holiday Card class.  The stamp used is Hero Winter Trees stamped with Ranger archival black.  The stamped image was then distressed on the bottom right with Ranger Iced Spruce distress ink.  Peacock feathers was added to the bottom left and Black Soot to the top left.  The snowflakes are from the Penny Black set "A bright tomorrow" and were heat embossed in white.  The dear was cut with a Sizzix die and distressed with Tea Dye Ink.  My sentiment was on a clear block and I do not remember the company, but think it is from a set by Jillian Vance.  The paper used is from Bazzill and cut to 4.25 x 5.5.  Hope you enjoy.

Christmas Cheer

A very simple card made for the Online Holiday Card Class.  All print papers are from the Authentique "Wonder" 6 x 6 pack.  The finished card is a 4.25 x 5.5, but the front was cut to 3.25 x 5.5.  . The tree was cut with the Cricut "Winters in the Air Holiday" cartridge and gems "Twinkle Goosebumps: by Queen and Co. were added.  A 2.75 x 5.5 strip of Bazzill red was embossed with the Sizzix folder "Christmas Words" which was placed on top of the other DP papers. The tree was placed with pop dots on top of the embossed piece, but extends over the edge.   A 1" x 5.5" strip of the stripe paper was attached to the inside of the card.  Another print from the pack was cut with the Spellbinder Edgeabilities "Classic Petal" and attached under the embossed paper.  Another paper from the pack was attached on the left side of the card to finish off the project.  Hope you enjoy.

Peace, Love and Joy

The inspiration for this came from Kristina Werner in the Online "Holiday Card Class" that I am taking.  The sentiment piece is from the TPC "Winter Collage" set that I previously used.  It was embossed in white and then distressed with Ranger Distress Ink "Festive Berries"   A tag was cut from Authentique 6x6 pad as was the scalloped circle.  A Twine bow finished off the tag portion of the card.  The card base is Kraft paper as is the 4 x 5.25  piece layered on it.  The layered piece was stamped with snowflakes from Cover Card with a Versa Mark embossing pad.  A We R Memory 1/2 inch corner rounder was used to finish the piece.  A nice simple card.  Hope ou enjoy

Let it snow

A card that is modeled after one in the Online Holiday Card class that I signed up for designed by Jennifer McGuire.  Not sure the way this is made I will mass produce it or not for the holiday.  I used Antique Linen to distress around the snowflakes and it did not look right so I did the rest of the card.  The snowflakes are stamped with Distress inks:  Evergreen Bough and Iced Spruce.  I added gems from Kaiser and BoBunny to the center of the flakes.  The stamp set used for the snowflakes and sentiment are from TPC "Winter Collage".  I used my Scor-Buddy to scor the lines that form the ridge above and below the sentiment.  I then added a silver gel pen to highlight the scored area.  A very simple card.  Hope you enjoy

Happy Holiday

SPOOKY

I have a few special Halloween treats to give and that is what inspired this post.  I started with a tube purchased at my LSS and SRM stickers.  Each tube will have a slightly different looking depending on what stickers are used.  The stickers are at the top below the cap and the bottom of the tube.   I then filled them with fall M&M's.  The tag is from  Inkssentials and was sprayed with water followed by Forest Moss, Rusty Hinge and Tea Dye Distress stains.  I then misted the tag again and blotted off the extra water.  When it had tried I stamped an image using "Skeleton Poem" by Stampendous using Ranger archival black ink.  Gold eyes using Kasier gems finished the skeleton.  It would not be spooky without adding a spider crawling down to the skeleton.  The spider was cut using a Memory Box die.  A orange and black ribbon hold the tag to the tube.  Hope you enjoy.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween.  Isn't this stamp from Penny Black the cutest.  This is "bat cat" and it was colored with Copic Markers (C0, C1, C3,G46, R20, FYG1, V17, YR16, YR18) and hand cut.  This was mounted on paper from BoBunny Apple Cider 6 x 6 pad.  The bats were cut with a Memory Box die.  I cheated and the Happy Halloween is a sticker from SMR Stickers.  I added Glossy Accents to the stems on each pumpkin and the eyes of the cat.  A piece of twine finishes off the card.  I decided to enter this in My Sheri Crafts challenge.  This is an A2 card.  Hope you Enjoy.

This card was made for the JustRite Friday Challenge #083  "Threes Company".  The card is a 5.5 square which worked best with all of the dies used.  I used four different papers from the paper pad all that coordinate very well.  The background and ornament are a solid.  Three different prints were used for the rest of the card.  This goes into the stash for the upcoming Christmas Holiday.   Hope you enjoy

Supplies:
StampJustRite Noel Christmas Ornament
Dies:  Spellbinder-Create a Flake Four;  Spellbinder/JustRite-Antique Labels One:  Spellbinder Heirloom Ornament 2010

Petal Party Two

This card was made using the Penny Black " Petal Party" .  I am not going to take the full credit for the design.  I did see a card  that inspired this.   All you need is some White Cardstock, embossing ink and powder and in this case some Memento pads.  I cut a strip about 2 x 5.5 and stamped my flower and leaves on it with Versa Mark and then added white embossing powder which was then heat set. The card is 4.25 x 5.5.   I did do one flower separate so I could cut it and pop it on the card.  I used Memento Morocco and New Sprout to distress my stamped strip.  The flower was distressed with the Morocco ink and a Rich Cocoa marker was used to color the center.  Remember to white the image off after distressing to clean up the embossing.  The sentiment was stamped with archival black ink to complete the card.  A very quick and simple card to make.  Hope  you enjoy

Gatefold card

This card which I designed for the fall workshop at Fond Memories was inspired by Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace during the summer Spellbinder release.  I have included the full direction on making this gatefold card.  The hardest part is taking the time to make all of the cuts.  Hope you enjoy.

Supplies:
Bazzill Kraft paper  (cut 6x12)  (square cut 4.5 x 4.5)
Bazzill Teal  (cut 4.75 x 4.75)  (center will be used to cut 2 5/8 square)
Bazzill Cream  (cut 3 x 6) and (3.75 x 3.75) and a scrap for filigree
Spellbinder Die:  Majestic Marvelous Squares
Memory Box flower
Spellbinder Garden Lattice M-Bossabilities Folder
Ranger Distress Antique Linen
Kaiser and Hero Arts Pearl Gems
Pop Dots or 3M tape

1.  Take your 6 x 12 Kraft paper and score at 3 inches and 9 inches to form a 6 x 6 base
2.  With the 3 x 6 Cream emboss with the Garden Lattice and distress with Antique Linen (optional).  Attach this to the right front side
3.  Cut the Teal 4.75 square and Kraft 4.5 square.  Using Spellbinder Marvelous Square #6 (largest) align so the Teal forms a border around the Kraft square.  Use a repositionable tape over the dies and paper in order to cut both at the same time.  Adhere the Kraft to the teal.  Apply tape to the left side, top edge and bottom edge for about  2 inches.  Adhere to the card base on the left.
4.  Cut the 3.5 Cream square with  Die # 5 with the decorative edge. Apply tape to the right side, and adhere to the right side of the card.  Place a Kaiser Craft gem in each corner.
5.  With the teal left from the center of the card cut Die #4 (2 5/8 square) centering it.  Follow this by embossing with Die # 3 (2.25 square).  Adhere this to the Cream center using pop dots.  The left over Teal can be used in the center of the card to frame a sentiment.
6.  Cut the flower from cream with the Memory Box Die.  Pop dot this to the teal.  Add the Hero Arts Gem
 7.  With scraps of Cream cut the #3 die for the filigree.  Place one in the upper left corner and the other in the lower right.  Add a pearl gem.

Jolly Friends

Isn't this little guy soooo cute.  He comes from the Penny Black set "Jolly Friends" and the sentiment from the Penny Black "A bright tomorrow".  Copic Markers were used to color the stamped image.(B0000, BG05, Rooo, 100 and Co)  Ranger enamel and Hero Arts glitter were used to form the snow.  The new Tinsel from the Tim Holtz collection was used on the hat.  A frame was cut using a Spellbinder oval out of Bazzill white OP to frame the image.  Red gems from Kaiser Craft were used on the holly branch.  The sentiment was stamped and corners rounded to finish the card.

A Bright Tomorrow

I took a quick picture with my phone to share this card that I designed for the Fond Memories workshop.    "A Bright Tomorrow" is a stamp from Penny Black.  The paper is new from Carta Bella and I wondered for a while if it would arrive in time for the workshop.   I wanted to heat emboss on a paper with pattern and this was perfect.  The paper is a dark burgandy,   I  cut the corner and then used a brush to roll the cut on the corner twice.  Work it so it looks like a piece of paper rolled back.  I really like this stamp set as it has so many other choices to stamp on it.  I plan to use this on several of my holiday cards this year.  Hope  you enjoy.

The Supplies:

Stamp:  Penny Black “A bright tomorrow”
Paper: White card stock.  Cut 5.5 x 8.5 (folded 4.25 x 5.5)
            Carta Bella Christmas Day “Crimson/Gold.  Cut 4 x 5.25
Carta Bella Christmas Day “Stripe”.  Cut 3.75 x 5
Ink:  Versa Mark embossing pad
            Black archival ink
White embossing powder
Ribbon:  May Arts nylon   15 inches
Rhinestones

White on White

If you are looking for a card that looks really time consuming or hard, but can be done in a few minutes this is it. I decided to put this in the JustRite Friday Challenge #082  "Be Supportive", yet this card can be made for any occasion.  The background was cut with the new Spellbinder "Fancy Lattice" and mounted on a white base.  Flower petals from Memory Box were cut and added with a pearl center.  The sentiment was cut with a new Spellbinder tag and stamped with a JustRite With Sympathy sentiment.  Very simple.  Hope you enjoy

Fall Foliage

A few weeks ago I posted a fall card using this same paper, but one that took some time to create.  This is a super simple card.  The background paper cut a little ragged is from Reminisce "Autumn Plaid.  The Sentiment is from Penny Black "Sweet wishes" was stamped with Ranger Black Archival ink and cut with The new Spellbinder "Fancy Framed Tags Two" set (the green is from the back of DP).  This cut was then distressed with Antique Linen.   The leaves were cut and embossed with the new Spellbinder "Fall Foliage set" out of Bazzill paper and distressed with Antique Linen.  Rather simple, but have not had a lot of time to play so Hope you Enjoy.

Peaceful Season

Hello.  I have been so busy getting my cards ready for the Fall workshop at Fond Memories that I have not made anything new for here.  This card which you have not seen (unless you have been to FM) was from the summer workshop.  The bird and sentiment both are from Prickley Pear.  I used a Spellbinder label and tag to cut the card.  American Craft red is the frame for the bird which wass tamped in Memento Black and colored with red Copic markers then distressed with Antique Linen.  The berries are a Pearl Pen red and stickles.  The base for the card is a teal from Bazzill.  The background paper which matches this stamp perfectly is from paper that I do not remember the company  (sorry).  Hope you enjoy and I promise fall cards will be coming.

More Let it Snow

A couple of weeks ago I posted a different version of this card.  The tree for that card had been cut in green.  This card has been embossed with a Sizzix folder and then sprayed with Perfect Pearls.  The embossed folder and card base both have the corners punched out.  The tree was cut with a Spellbinder die and red gems were added.  A Spellbinder ribbon banner was stamped with a JustRite sentiment to finish off a rather simple card.  I have entered this in the My Sheri Crafts "White on White" Challenge.  Hope you Enjoy

Warm Wishes

Hello.  I decided I should share a card that I had the June Christmas in Summer card class at Fond Memories make.  This uses a stamp from Prickley Pear and a greeting from JustRite.  The card is really rather simple.  All you need are some brown and green markers to color the pine cones and branches, gems, paper, the stamp and ink.  I used a red from Bazzill here and the DP is from Authentique.  A little stickles added some glimmer to the card.  If you do not have red gems take your silver or pearl and color.  Rather simple.  Everyone loved the idea that this was not centered.  Hope you enjoy

More Than One Fold

JustRite Friday Challenge #080 - More Than One Fold    This  week the challenge at JustRite is to create a card with more than one fold.

1. The first step was to cut paper from Reminisce "Autumn Plaid" into a 6 x 12 along with a piece of card stock.   The next step was to attach the paper to each side of the card stock so I had the front and back of the DP visible.  I then scored the paper every 3 inches to create four flaps.  On the left side I started about 2 inchs and began a free hand cut to the third score line at 6 inchs to create my card.  The top edges were distressed with Vintage Photo. The card when folded is 3 x6.

 2.  Next was to stamp the JustRite "Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves" on Solar White and distressed them with : Vintage Photo, Rusty Hing, Peeled Paint, Tea Dye and Wild Honey to try and create a fall leaf color.  The leaves from the stamp set were cut by hand.

3.  The ribbon which comes to the front through a slit in the fold was colored with Wild Honey stain  and a Doodlebug charm was added over a tag from Memory Box which was stamped with a sentiment from the JustRite set and distressed with Vintage Photo.

 4.  The inside again has the leaves from the  JustRite set.  Spellbinder circles were used to cut the sentiment.  A Kraft paper was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa. This was mounted on a circle that was embossed with a Sizzix 'Distress Stripes ' folder.  Both circles were cut to help form the edge of the card.

5.  The back of the card has  a Spellbinder labels 18 tag and was stamped with Dear Friend from the JustRite set. This was distressed with Vintage Photo.   A small leaf was added as a finishing touch

Halloween is here...

This cute little stamp is a set from Darcie's heart and home  (JCS181).  I stamped, colored  and cut the little witch out and then applied it to the paper by doodlebug design.  The cauldron was stamped directly onto the paper. Black pearl gems by Kaiser Craft were used for the feet on the cauldron.  The sentiment was stamped on the base paper and cut with a Spellbinder labels 18 die.  The bats were cut on black paper using a Memory Box die and pop dotted.  The witch was colored with Copic markers:  FYG2, FYR1, V12, E00, BV08 and black 100.  A button face from Darcie's finishes off the little witch.  Distress Stain "Black Soot" was used to edge the orange paper.  Simple but fun to make.  Hope you enjoy.

Happy Birthday

A quick post to share a card I made sometime ago and took a quick pic with my phone.  The card was made using a Heartfelt Creations stamp,  Memento Rich Cocoa ink  and Antique Linen distress ink.  Sorry but I do not remember the paper company.  A little twine bow finished off this card.  Hope you enjoy

Joy to all

Christmas cards are one of my fun things to make so you will see many in the next few months.  Joy to All is a sentiment from Hero Arts stamped on a brick background from Penny Black.  The Lantern stamp is from Prickley Pear.  The inspiration for this card came from Prickley Pear and was used for my July Christmas in summer workshop at Fond Memories.  The edges of both the spellbinder label and the card base were distressed with Black Soot.  I then used Pumice stone to distress the two and it brought it some of the Black Soot to achieve the effect you see.  Two shades of Copic green were used for the pine.  Ranger enamel was used for the snow and then glitter was added.  The base was mounted on red and a red ribbon added to finish the card.  Hope you Enjoy.
