It is getting to that time of year when graduation cards are needed. This simple card is made with scraps of paper, copic markers and Paper Nest Doll "Graduation Ellie" stamp. The sentiment "Cap and Gown Tradition" is from a scrap that had words on it. A hat sticker helps finishes off the card. Everything was mounted on a royal blue and then to a white card base. This is a simple card so hope you enjoy.
One of the most rewarding things is to share with others the works you have done.

Stencil Use
Stencils are becoming a fun way to make a card. Before long a new Online Card class will highlight these and I am signed up. Of course as my LSS store Fond Memories gets these new cardmaking toys in I have to give them a try. This card was made as a quick birthday greeting for a friend. I used the Memory Box "Butterfly Vine for this card. I started with a 4 x 5.25 piece of white cardstock. The next step was to use Antique Linen distress to get the outline of the stencil. The butterflies were colored with Copic Markers Y18, B32 and B34 and then this was mounted on a brown 5.5 x 4.25. A May Arts blue ribbon was added and this was mounted on the card base. This does not take long and is a simple card. Hope you enjoy.

Your so Sweet
Kathy at Fond Memories wanted me to try using this stamp from Inky Antics "Bee Benton". Isn't he a cute little guy. I stamped the image and colored with Copic Markers. I used E31, E34 for the bear and Y38 for the honey pot. The paper is My Mind's Eye "Love Me" and a Bazzill red. Spellbinder circles were used for the cuts. The sentiment was stamped on a section of the backside of the paper. I used pop dots behind the bear for a little dimension. Of course I could not resist putting a little twine bow to finish off the card. Hope you enjoy.

Halloween is here...
This cute little stamp is a set from Darcie's heart and home (JCS181). I stamped, colored and cut the little witch out and then applied it to the paper by doodlebug design. Celebrate your day....your way!
"Your Way" is a Penny Black slapstick stamp set. When I saw this stamp I just had to buy it. I made this as a birthday card, but could easily be a Father's Day card as well. The sentiment is part of the stamp set and fits the day well. Since my Father passed away sometime ago I really do not have a need to make one specific to the day. With that in mind I still put this card in the My Sheri Crafts challenge for Fathers Day. I made the card is for a very special member of my family (my son) who has a birthday coming up. The paper is from Bella BLVD "Midterm" that I received at a CHA workshop two years ago. I was saving it for just that right stamp and it finally came along. I added on the computer screen the Happy BD. I used a variety of Copic Markers in grays, browns, green and a touch of yellow. and blue to create my stamped image. The red paper was added for an additional punch of color. The card is a 5 x 7. Hope you enjoy.

Sweet Wishes
When I saw this stamp set on the Penny Black site I just had to have it. It is Go Green, but it lends itself to many other themes. I used it here as a Special Day card. Those animals in that car are so cute. I colored it very similar to the sample on the package. (see the Copic picture below for the colors). The image was cut by hand and pop dotted on the background. The sentiment and balloon are from the Penny Black set Sweet Wishes. I used Cover a Card stamp Distressed Dots with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink for the background. The remaining papers are just brown, orange and desert sand. The balloon was cut by hand then colored with a Copic Marker and Glossy Accents was added for depth. The corners were rounded to give a more finished look. Hope you enjoy

Butterflies and Flowers
JustRite Friday Color Challenge #071 - "Perfect Pastels"
JustRite is hosting a color challenge this week. Not having the colors I needed in designer papers I decided to use Copic Markers and the JustRite "With sympathy" set to create this card. The card began with a 5 x 7 base that was airbrushed with Copic YR 31. On this was mounted the background that was embossed with the new Spellbinder M-Bossabilities "Imperial" folder. This was airbrushed with both the YR31 and YR65. Pearl Gems were added to this base. The flower was stamped on a Spellbinder Classic Oval and colored with Copic Markers YR31 (Lt Reddish Yellow) and RV14 (Begonia Pink) as the tip color. I did mask off a portion of the stamp to fit the oval. These were blended which gave a little different color to the flower. YG 61and YG63 were used on the leaves. This was framed with the new Spellbinder "Floral Oval" using Neenah Solar White. Small pearl gems were added to the frame. A Spellbinder ribbon tag was cut and stamped with a sentiment from the JustRite Set and airbrushed with the YR31. Butterflies were cut with a Memory Box die and colored using the three challenge colors. When I started this was a challenge, but with white paper, an embossing folder, the right stamp, a few pearl gems and some dies it became a card. Hope you enjoy.

JustRite Friday Challenge #070 -- "Pretty Papers".
This JustRite Stampers challenge is to create your own background paper. Using the JustRite Topsy Turvy Cakes set a background was created of flowers.
