Happy Birthday

Everybody needs that simple and fast to make card.  This started with cuts from another card made many months ago.  The flowers are from Jillian Vance Designs "Flutters and Flowers".  Distress markers Rusty Hinge and Gathered Twigs were used to color the flowers.  Wick of Stella glitter pen was added to the center of each flower.  Antique Linen Distress was used on the oval so it was not a bright white.  The sentiment is from a small stamp by A Muse Artstamps.  Simple so Hope you enjoy

Golf Cart

MOJOMonday323 challenge is a sketch this week.

Needing a Birthday card for my son-in-law an avid golfer I turned to the sketch challenge for inspiration.  The stamp is from Gourmet rubber stamps "Golf Cart" and stamped with Ranger Archival black.  Spellbinder classic circle and scallop were used to cut the image.  The tag is another Spellbinder and is stamped with the phrase in the stamp set.  The paper is from Simple Stories.  The brads and gems are from my stash.  Hope you enjoy

Peace and Joy

This was a sample card I made for my son,  It did not turn out to be the final design.  I will share that later.  The stamp is from Penny Black "Flourish Holly" and the Poinsettia is from Spellbinders.  I removed the stamp from the wood block as it is stamped twice on the card.  The card is top is cut 1/4 inch smaller than the base which is a white glitter from American Crafts.  The Ink is from Memento, a red pearl pen and Kaiser gems.  The sentiment I think is Penny Black too.
Hope you enjoy

The inspiration for this card is from Shari Carroll in the Online Card Class "Holiday Workshop 13".
Paper is from Authentique 6 x 6 paper pad.  Die are from Memory box (peace and the tree).  The embossing folder is from Sizzix.  It is a pretty simple card to make and I hope you enjoy.

Tis the Season

In September our LSS had a very large workshop that I help with.  I needed to make some samples using a stamp that was being used at one of my tables so I may a little foggy on what I used.  The Stamp is a Memory Box that was stamped with Versafine Black and clear embossed.  This was then cut with a Spellbinder circle and  distressed with two colors  (Mustard Seed being the yellow I want to say Bundled Sage for the second color).  I added a clear stickles to the stamped image.  Using a Spellbinder tag for the sentiment I tried to give the illusion it was a globe.  The DP I believe is from Bazzill's Christmas line. The sentiment is from my stash so not remembering it.  This is an A2 card  Hope you enjoy.

Elegant Pine

This card was made using the Hero Arts Stencil "Elegant Pine" and Golden Gel Mediums "Light Molding Paste".  I placed some of the medium into a small cup and added Distress Ink Peeled Paint reinker to the paste.  After this was mixed I taped the stencil onto my paper and spread the medium.  It is like spreading butter smooth, remove the excess and pull off the stencil.  I then added Distress dry glitter  "clear rock candy" and let it dry.  Little Yellow Bicycle  was used for the framing and was cut using a Grand Oval from Spellbinders.  The card was then mounted on red by Bazzill.  A Sentiment from DRS designs was stamped in black and cut with a Spellbinder label and mounted.  Two large pearls finish off the card.  This card is very large being almost 6 x 8.  Hope you enjoy.

haunted halloween

At Halloween I like to make a few treat bags for granddaughters, friends, para's and other special people in my life.  This year I took a plain white treat sack and stamped the house, sentiment and witch from the Penny Black set "haunted halloween".  The house is colored with Copic N3 and a yellow in the windows.  The ink used was Versafine black (no not a copic ink).  When I colored it some of the ink smeared to help give the house a more rustic look which is hard to see in this picture.  Two holes were punched so the ribbon closes the bag with treats inside.  Hope you enjoy

Another Christmas in July card

Another of my Christmas summer workshop cards.  I was looking for ideas and found a card similar to this and used it for my inspiration on the internet.  The snow was created using 1 1/2 inch score tape and Rock candy glitter.  If you have not tried that technique put your tape on cardstock.  Peel the cover paper off to expose the sticky and spread the glitter and press it in.  Remove the excess glitter and cut to the shape you want.  Stickles was added as a glitter effect to the trees.  This is an A2 card.  Hope you enjoy

Supplies:

Paper:  Echo Park 'winter wishes'
Score tape

Season's Greetings

It is never to early to start on our holiday cards.  This one was made for the Christmas card class that I teach in the summer.  Isn't this snowman the cutest you have seen for a while.  The stamp is "Giant Snowman" from Art Impressions.  This was colored with Copic markers (G95, R20, R29, E31, B0000, BG01 and C5).  The A2 card was cut using a Bazzill blue with the same CS behind the snowman.  The DP is from Carta Bella "Winter Fun".  The sentiment comes from a Technique Tuesday set and was stamped on a Spellbinder tag and tied on the card with a brown twine.  Hope you enjoy.

Warm Winter Wishes

Another card from my Christmas class.  This was a very popular card with those that attended.  I am not taking credit for the design and do not remember where I found it.  The paper is Bazzill Prismatic.  A spellbinder circle was used to make the main cut.  The card is a 5.5 square with the circle piece being 5 inches and that is mounted using foam tape.  The cut out circle was distressed with Stormy Sky and placed inside the cut circle after the top piece is mounted to the card.  The dies are from Memory Box and the larger tree is foam mounted.  Find a small sentiment and you have a very simple card.  Hope you enjoy

Happy Anniversary

This is a special Anniversary card for my daughter and son-in-law.   The hearts were cut from a mirror paper with Spellbinders "vines of passion" and mounted on a glossy black cut with the same set.  The Bazzill red ( a wedding color) was clear embossed with hearts from the Jillian Vance Designs "Anniversary Blessings".  The sentiment is from the same Jillian Vance set and stamped with an archival ink and then clear embossed to make the black so much sharper.  The top heart is raised up Simple to make.    Hope you enjoy.

Another Holiday card

This cute guy is from the same Woodware set that I used in a post a couple of weeks ago and was another card for the Christmas class.  The sentiment is from the same set.  Copic markers were used for the coloring.  Kraft paper is the base of the card with Bazzill as the border around the white.  A swiss dot embossing folder was used to give texture to the white, but in order to stamp the image a Tim Holtz oval diffuser was used.  The diffuser helps leave an area untouched by the folder leaving the smooth area to stamp.  A simple card that may be more masculine.  Hope you enjoy

First Birthday

This card is made for a very special little girl who will turn one in about a week.  The stamp is from Penny Black "tutu sweet".  The image was stamped with Memento tuxedo black and colored with Copic markers (R20, RV21, RV91, E00, E31, E34, Y02, C3).  Stickles was added to the heart, hair ribbon and the tutu (this is hard to see in the picture).  The DP is from Echo Park "Bundle of Joy". Bright and Cheery

I realize it is June and this is a Christmas card, but I am conducting classes at Fond Memories-Christmas in summer and this is one I designed for the first class  This card is made using Carta Bella paper and a stamp set from Woodware.  The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday "Be Jolly".   Copic markers YG23 and R89 were used to color the hat and scarf.  The DP was cut with a Spellbinder circle.  The solid was mounted on to the  white cardstock.  A smaller circle was used to cut off the edge of the card and the snowman was stamped so it is on the inside of the card.  This is a simple card.  Do hope you enjoy

Happy Birthday

The JustRite Stampers Friday Challenge #097 is a color inspiration.

This is my take on their colors.  I used Kraft paper for my beige and distressed the medallian and ribbon with Antique Linen.  The Paper used is from Little Yellow Bicycle 6x6 "Poppies". These papers were cut using Spellbinders "Radiant Rectangles".   I thought the colors worked well with this challenge.  The stamps are from JustRite "Poppies" for the flower which was colored with Copic markers E31, YG03 and YR07 and cut with Spellbinders "Medallian Seven".   The sentiment is from the JustRite set "Cirlce of Love" and was cut with a Spellbinder tag.  The card back was cut the same as the front and a small strip attached on the left side makes the fold.  A fun card to make.  Hope you emjoy

Reach for the Stars

It is graduation time this weekend at our school and I had a few cards to make.  This is one that is different from all of the others I made.  The stamp used is Art Impressions "Reach for the Stars".  The stars are a die from Memory Box and cut  using mirror paper.  The cap another die from Sizzix using a black scrap and from the mirror paper with a red gem from Kaiser.  The scalloped border is from Spellbinders "A2 scalloped borders one".  Both the red and black paper are from Bazzill.  The final card is an A2 in size.  Hope you enjoy.

Embrace Happiness

I am taking an Online card class "His and Hers" and this card was made using the inspiration by Jennifer McGuire.  This requires masking off the card base in order to eliminate stamping the stems of the flowers.  Draw the lines in.  Jennifer suggested using a T-square in order to keep the lines straight.  I did do that.

Hope you enjoy

Supplies:

Stamps:  Hero Arts "Tall Flowers"
               Penny Black "Friendship"

Ink:  Tuxedo Black

Secret Garden

JustRite is hosting a Friday Challenge #095 Window of Opportunity.  This card is my take on that challenge.  (edit:  This was the Grand Prize card for this challenge)

1.  Stamp Royal Fiber Birch with the JustRite "Secret Garden" background stamp using Memento Ink "Tangelo".  This is a 4 x 5.25 piece of card stock.

2.  Cut a circle out using Spellbinder circles and mount on another piece of Royal Fiber Birch cut to the same size and mount on card base of Desert Storm (cut as an A2 card).   Cut a smaller circle out leaving an opening to the inside of the card.

3.  Using Stickles Star Dust paint the stamped flowers with the glitter.  This is hard to see in the picture.  If you double click on the card you will be able to see the glittered flowers.

4.  Using a sentiment from the JustRite set "Circle of Love" stamp inside the circle so the sentiment is on the inside of the card.

5.  Mask the sentiment and again using the Tangelo stamp the background stamp again on the inside of the card.

6.  Spray white flowers with Imagine Crafts Fireworks "Tangelo" spray.  The flowers used here are from my stash.  Using glossy accents a brown twine was added to the card and the flowers then added.  One larger and two medium flowers were sprayed.  Yello Kaiser mini paper blooms were added to finish off the card.

Hope you enjoy
