JustRite is hosting a non-traditional Christmas card challenge (here) and this is my take on it. Roses are not what we think of as being a Christmas flower and dark backgrounds are rare.
The card base is white folded size 4.75 x 6. Bazzill red was cut to 4.5 x 5.75 to form the base for the JustRite " Holly Garlands Background". JudiKins "Rustique Weathered Iron" was to used to heat emboss the background which was then distressed with "Peeled Paint". JustRite "Rose Bouquets Vintage Labels" was stamped on white and colored with Copic markers (YG93, YG 95, R 27, R29) and then cut with a Spellbinder oval die with a final touch of distress ink on the edge. The sentiment believe is from the same stamp set as the roses, masked to remove the words "in miracles" then cut cut and distressed with the peeled paint. A silk ribbon from the stash was tied with all cut outs being popped.
Mary Jo, your card is SOOO pretty!!! Really like that EP you've used and must seek it out for myself soon. We couldn't possibly make an ugly card with that GORGEOUS rose stamp, don't you agree?!!! Nice to see you back @ JR again!
