Something a little different to share with you. I am taking an online card class that is being taught by Tim Holtz. (Creative Chemistry 101)This class is all about technique and I can say I have already picked up some really good hints. He uses tags to demonstrate the different techniques on so that is why you see a tag. This tag is made using Distress Stains and a water mister. I started by misting the tag and then applying the color randomly on the tag. I then dried the tag and applied a little mist again. I will say that I tried this technique on different papers and found a good quality paper is needed. On a manila file folder it seemed that the paper grew hairs. The Distress stains used were Rusty Hinge, Worn Lipstick, Stormy Sky and Forest Moss. The edges were distressed with Walnut Stain. The stamp is "Heartfelt" from Tim Holtz and was stamped using Ranger archival Jet Black. A ribbon stained with the Forest Moss tops off the tag. This was fun to make. I can see I have a lot to learn about this technique and will continue to work at it. Hope you enjoy
One of the most rewarding things is to share with others the works you have done.

A black and white wedding card
JustRite Friday Challenge #68 is a black and white with one other color to punch it up. I selected Copic R11 pale cherry pink as my punch color. This card was created using a Spellbinder Romantic rectangle (4 x6) as the base cut in white (the picture is taken on black to see the detail). Bo Bunny "Back to Basics" was mounted on the rectangle frame. The corners were rounded with a corner punch. Using my Copic airbrush a little color was added to the paper. A sentiment from JustRite "Wedding Nested Sentiments" was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, cut with a Spellbinder Floral oval and again airbrushed for color. The flowers are made from white paper, cut with a Spellbinder Bitty Blossom and airbrushed with the R11 for a touch of color. A bow was added from May Arts black sheer ribbon. A fun card to make. Hope you enjoy.

Good Wishes
Two stamps by Penny Black "Flowers Sweet" and Gratitude" were the start to this card. A scrap of paper from Kaisercraft "These Days Collection" and a solid green from Bazzill were the next step. The image was stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black and colored with a total of 5 Copic Markers (B 41,B12, B14, YG93 and YG 95). The next step was to cut this with a Spellbinder Labels 16 (die 6 the largest) and distressed with Antique Linen. The next step was to pop dot this on the card base which is a 4.25 x 5.5. The sentiment was stamped and cut with a Spellbinder ribbon tag then distressed with Antique Linen. The ribbon was a white from May Arts colored with Antique Linen Distress Stain. Hope You enjoy what I think is a simple card.

Birthday Wishes
JustRite is hosting a birthday bash challenge this week. I planned out what I wanted my card to be and I have to say this was not what was in my head. The paper is from a 6 x 6 pad by My Mind's Eye "Stella Rose". The main stamp is from the new JustRite "With Sympathy" set and the greeting from the JustRite "Topsy Turvy Cakes" set. That rose is becoming one that just may be a favorite. This was colored with Copic Markers RV 11, RV 13,YG 93 and YG 95. The image was cute with a classic spellbinder oval and distressed with Antique Linen. This was mounted on a green solid from the same paper pad with Spellbinders labels 19. This paper also acts as the background for the card. The flower is from my stash and mounted on a piece of green ribbon. The gems too are from my stash. The tag from Memory Box was stamped with Birthday Wishes and distressed with Antique Linen. The finished size of the card came out to be a 5.25 square. Hope you enjoy
