Vintage Cross

This card began as a special project for a family member, but I have decided to create this stamp differently for that.  I decided to share this with you instead.  The card can be found at Fond Memories in Walnut Grove.  I used the 6x6 papers from My Mind's Eye which has a smaller print for cards.  The embossed image was distressed with Antique Linen.  The flower was stamped twice for cutout and I used a Pearl Pen from Viva for the center.
Hope you enjoy

Stamp:  Heartfelt Creations “Vintage Cross”
Embossing white powder
Distress Ink:  Antique Linen
Paper:  My Mind’s Eye “Stella Rose”  6x6 pad
Pearl Ink:  Bronze and  Cream

Just For you-JustRite challenge 049

JustRite is hosting a Direct to Rubber Technique challenge.  For this I used the Fancy Labels set and applied my ink in a random pattern.  To do this I began by putting Memento Rich Cocoa on the edges.  I then applied Memento Cottage Ivy, Rose Bud and Grape Jelly which are colors I was trying to pick out of the paper.   Since I do not have the Memento markers I created my own using Tsukineko's Fantastix brush point sticks and the Memento ink.  Both the front and back of the DP was used and this is from Echo Park Paper. I did stamp and pop up the Just for You, using the Rose Bud and Grape Jelly on the back of the DP which was cut with my oval Spellbinder. (edit:  this was done using the rock and roll technique.)   Actually both the stamped and die cut images are popped up.   Spellbinder ovals and labels 13 were used to cut the JustRite stamp.  The Ribbon is from May Arts and accented with a brad from My Mind's Eye "Stella and Rose" decorative brads.  It is so much fun that the CHA orders are arriving at my LSS "Fond Memories".  I needed to do something today as we are having a heavy snow storm/blizzard here in Minnesota.  Hope you enjoy

Friends Always

This card was made as part of The Shabby Tea Room Week #49 "Keeping Warm" challenge.  The inspiration for the card was this picture to the right.    I used Kraft paper for the base followed by a Bazzill brown.  The DP is Peachy Keen from American Craft and was distressed with Antique Linen.  I used my Copic Air Brush with marker E57 to make the lace have an older look.  The ribbon is from May Arts and was tied as double bow on the Bow Easy.  A Prima flower finished off the bow.  The pearls are from Basic Grey.  The sentiment was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa using a JustRite "You Inspire Me" Stamp.  This was cut using a Spellbinder circle and mounted on brown cut with the a Spellbinder scallop circle.  Hope you enjoy.

Deepest Sympathy-Mojo Monday 177

This card is made for the Mojo Monday 177 challenge, but more that a co-worker had a double loss this past week and I wanted to do a second card for her.

The paper used is from We R Memory Keepers "Merry January" and Bazzill solids.  The flower stamps I am not 100% sure of the company as it is in my stash without a name  and the words are from JustRite "Sympathy Nested Sentiments".  The gems are from AMuse and the large brad is American Crafts.  Spellbinder lacey squares and large scallop circles were used to help finish the card.  Hope you enjoy.

With Sympathy

This card was made for a friend to give.  We have a co-worker that has suffered a double loss this past week.  The card was made using JustRite's Sympathy Nested Sentiments. The sentiment was cut using Spellbinder rectangles.  The paper is from My Mind'e Eye "Holly Jolly" line showing xmas paper has more than just a holiday purpose.  The gems were what was left from an earlier project and the ribbon is May Arts.  Hope you enjoy.

Have a Fabulous Birthday

Have a Fabulous Birthday is from the JustRite "You Inspire Me" cling set.  This card was made for the JustRite Friday Challenge 048.  This time it is a sketch challenge (shown at the bottom of this post).  American Crafts Letterbox paper was used for the background of the card.  Since the back of the DP was pink I used it for the stamped image and for the border (using a MS border punch).  I stamped the background image with Memento black and cut it by hand.  The round lace border was stamped and cut with a Spellbinder circle and the sentiment was added and foam mounted on the larger  image.  Other papers used were Bazzill black and paper from Imaginisce "To cherish and love".  The bow is a double created on the Bow Easy and accented with a pearl brad by American Crafts,  Hope you enjoy

A Fishy Birthday

My son asked me to create a card that he could use that had a fish on it.  He found a fish embellishment for the start of this card.  He thought the gems resembled coral and the rest was up to me.  I used a cuttlebug folder for the background and colored it with a variety of Copic Markers using my airbrush system to give the impression of ocean waves.   The sentiment is from JustRite.  I used brown cardstock paper for mounting the base of the card and the sentiment..  The fish is foam dotted over the gems.  Hope you enjoy.

Always and Forever

It turned out to be another snow day here in Southwest Minnesota giving me another day to play.  Not everything I made will show up here as it will be on display at Fond Memories in Walnut Grove  I did decide to make a card using my box as inspiration and a Mojo Monday sketch for this week.  Using the same paper, ribbon and flower idea here it is.  My Mind's Eye paper was cut using Spellbinder scallop and classic circles.  I hand cut the curve in the paper and added Amuse pearls.  The Ribbon is May Arts.  I again used wire ribbon to create the rose.  The stamp is JustRite's Wedding Nested sentiments.  Hope you enjoy.
