Winter Scene
I made this for the July Christmas in Summer card class that I have been teaching at Fond Memories. Winter Scene is a stamp by Hero Arts. The Sentiment is from JustRite. The ink used was Memento Rich Cocoa and Ranger Archival black. This triple layered card is a 5 x 7 but could be made smaller. The paper are cut with each 1/2 inch smaller than the layer it sits on for this card. All of the cream colored were layered and stamped at one time. The Bazzill green was used as a base. The card was assembled by matching up the image. It looks complicated, but is rather simple. This is a You Tube video on how to do this technique: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmculp_tz74. Hope you enjoy. (Sorry about the picture quality)

JustRite Friday Challenge #075
JustRite Papercraft is holding a color challenge (inspiration photo is below) of aqua, apricot and orange. I began by finding Bazzil and Hero Arts papers that would be close to those colors. I then cut a flower with the Spellbinders Aster Topper die set. To finish off the flower I used Copic markers BG15, YR16 and YR68 to color pearls to make the center of the flower. An aqua paper was embossed with a Sizzix floral folder leaving a spot to stamp. This was achieved by using the Tim Holtz embossing diffuser. The sentiment is from the JustRite stamp set "Botanical Medallions & Banners. This is a 4.25 x 5.5 card. A very simple card. Hope you enjoy.

Anything but a Square card
JustRite Friday Challenge #073 - "Anything But Square" is to create a card that is anything as the title says but a square. For this card I decided to use Spellbinders Labels 22 as the start to my card. I placed the die so that it cut off the plate to give me the top design. The card was first cut to a 4.25 x 5.5 size then cut with the Spellbinder. From there I used Authentique paper "Carefree" Collection Care and the JustRite stamp Botanical Medallions and Banners. Copic Markers E37, E34, YG 93, YG 95, YR 16 and YR 18 were used to color the botanical flowers which were cut by hand. The Mediallion was stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and distressed with Antique Linen and edged with Vintage Photo. Since I do not have the die I cut this also by hand The Vintage Photo was also used on the edge of the card and flowers. Pearl swirls and a simple bow helped finish the card. A tag stamped from the same JustRite set was added to the bow. Hope you enjoy.

Another with sympathy
I decided I needed to put a post on, but did not have time over the weekend to get creative. It was a weekend filled with family. This card was made as a sample for the JustRite "With Sympathy" set that I used for the workshop. The flower is still on the card, but I used Momento brown and stamped it off before putting on the Neenah solar white paper. The sentiment from the same set is stamped in Momento Black. This was cut with a JustRite special die from Spellbinder and mounted on a Spellbinder Oval. The paper is from Authentique an the ribbon was white and colored with Antique Linen. Just wanted to share so Hope you Enjoy.

Window card
In some browsers this and a previous post are showing together. The card from one and the supplies from another.
This is another card I created for the Fall Fond Memories workshop. It is an acetate window card. The snowman is stamped on the inside. I took an online card class this past summer and the acetate card was one that was highlighted. Winter Wishes was stamped on the acetate which created the window. A Fiskars stamp press was used so that the pressure was even. Post It notes held the acetate down as it was being stamped. The stamped image is on the inside colored with Prismacolor pencils. Flowersoft mixed with glitter was used as the snow that the snowman sits in. I thought it would be a fun technique to share. Hope you enjoy.Supplies:

Heart Basket
This basket was made for Joan's Garden Summer Weekly Challenge. The pattern for the basket is provided. Just hop on over to Joan's Garden and you will find the link. I used Kraft paper which I then stamped a JustRite Butterfly Garden. I decided to use my Prisma Pencils to color this. The ribbon for the edging and bows are from May Arts. The pink pearls are from Amuse that I used on the edge of both the front and back. The three flowers by the sentiment (from the same JustRite stamp set) were colored with a Copic Marker and are from Maya Road. The flower and handle are from My Mind's Eye "Stella and Rose". The handle was punch with a Martha heart border punch. I scored the flower at 1/4 inch with my Scor Buddy and accordian folded it. The brad is one I purchased from CTMH.

It's your day
This cute stamp is from Stamping Bella and designed by Mo Manning. The paper is Stella and Rose from My Mind's Eye. The image was colored with Copic Markers and cut with a Spellbinder oval. The sentiment from JustRite was stamped on Kraft paper and cut with the new Spellbinder Grommet Tag set. This was mounted on a second tag in green from the same set. The buttons were colored with the same marker used on the shirt of this darling little girl. Distress ink Antique Linen was used throughout the card. The card is a 7.5 by 4 inch when completed. A fun card to make.
Hope you enjoy.

Enjoy Your Day
This card was made for the color challenge at JustRite Friday Challenge 055.
You are to use a light-medium blue, Ivory, Kraft/Tan. The copic marker colors given were B01 Mint Blue, E41 Pearl White and E43 Dull Ivory. I have to say I only have one of the one of three Copic colors so I selected to only color the small flowers on the JustRite image with B02. A chocolote gem from Amuse completes the center of the flowers. I used Spellbinder Labels 13 for both the Kraft and Ivory papers. I decided to emboss the Kraft label with a folder from Stamp'in Up. The DP that I used is from Cosmo Cricket. The brown bow (a color we could add) is from May Arts ribbon with a brad from My Mind's eye and a Pearl pin from Maya Road. The JustRite set used for this is Heart to Heart, a set I just added to my stamp collection. The ivory lace is from May Arts. The edges of all the papers were distressed with Antique Linen. Hope you enjoy

Breath of Spring
This card was made for the JustRite Friday Challenge 054. This was a sketch challenge. This was fun as I used my new Grand Calibur Scalloped Squares for the card base. The card is a 5.5 x 5.5 base. The paper used is from Cosmo Cricket "Pixie-Licious". I used three different papers from the set to complete the card. A strip was cut and edged with lace which was then added to the DP. The stamped flower is from the JustRite set a Breath of Spring as I do not have any of the new flower sets and were colored with Copic Markers. This was stamped twice and a small portion was cut out to add a three dimensional effect. Happy Birthday was added from the Happy Everything set from JustRite. The stamped image was mounted on a scallop rectangle cut with a Spellbinder die. Pearls from Amuse make up the center as well as on the Butterfly which was cut with a Spellbinder die and embossed. A clear glitter pen was used to create a little glimmer to the butterfly. I had distressed it too. The Butterfly was mounted on yellow ribbon that is a triple bow. Large Hero Arts pearls are mounted on the upper right corner.
Hope you enjoy.
Hope you enjoy.

Make a Wish
The Shabby Tea Room is hosting a Pastels and Stripes challenge. Soooo--"Make a Wish" is a stamp set by Penny Black. These cute little critters are a part of that set and were colored with Copic Markers.. The sentiment is from "Happy Everything" by JustRite and cut with the new Spellbinder Grommet Tag. The stamped image was cut with Spellbinder labels15. I then used my copic air brush to highlight the edges. The leaves were cut on a scrap with the new Spellbinder "Foliage" set. Maya Road ribbon flowers were colored using the Copic Airbrush, The brads are from My Mind's Eye. The paper is from the 6x6 Echo Park paper "Summer Days" pad. On a cloudy in MN this is a little breath of spring. Distress ink Dusty Concord was used on the Grommet Tag. Hope you enjoy.

Friends
JustRite is hosting a color challenge this week and I used the copic markers suggested as my inspiration. For this project Copic Y21(Buttercup yellow),YG63 (Pea green), YR65 (Atoll) and B63 (light Hydrangea) were used. JustRite sets Bird Houses and You inspire me were used. Spellbinders-Rose Creations, Fanciful flight Butterflies, Petite Oval large and Labels One helped complete the look. The paper is four selections from Jillibean soup: Dutch Mustard that all have some element of the color challenge in them. Pearls were colored with the Copic B63 to add the blue to the card. The Butterfly was cut and vellum was added. The base of the butterfly and the oval were cut on paper from AmericanCraft: Peachy Keen. Distress ink was used on the edges, oval and birdhouses.
The picture to the right is the JustRite inspiration photo.

Just For you-JustRite challenge 049
JustRite is hosting a Direct to Rubber Technique challenge. For this I used the Fancy Labels set and applied my ink in a random pattern. To do this I began by putting Memento Rich Cocoa on the edges. I then applied Memento Cottage Ivy, Rose Bud and Grape Jelly which are colors I was trying to pick out of the paper. Since I do not have the Memento markers I created my own using Tsukineko's Fantastix brush point sticks and the Memento ink. Both the front and back of the DP was used and this is from Echo Park Paper. I did stamp and pop up the Just for You, using the Rose Bud and Grape Jelly on the back of the DP which was cut with my oval Spellbinder. (edit: this was done using the rock and roll technique.) Actually both the stamped and die cut images are popped up. Spellbinder ovals and labels 13 were used to cut the JustRite stamp. The Ribbon is from May Arts and accented with a brad from My Mind's Eye "Stella and Rose" decorative brads. It is so much fun that the CHA orders are arriving at my LSS "Fond Memories". I needed to do something today as we are having a heavy snow storm/blizzard here in Minnesota. Hope you enjoy

A Fishy Birthday
My son asked me to create a card that he could use that had a fish on it. He found a fish embellishment for the start of this card. He thought the gems resembled coral and the rest was up to me. I used a cuttlebug folder for the background and colored it with a variety of Copic Markers using my airbrush system to give the impression of ocean waves. The sentiment is from JustRite. I used brown cardstock paper for mounting the base of the card and the sentiment.. The fish is foam dotted over the gems. Hope you enjoy.
