It's Graduation Time

Well it is that time of the year again.  Graduations in our area begin in about three weeks so here is one simple card.  I had to scan this in order to share as I left my camera at my son's on Easter Day.  This card is soooo simple.  The Class of 2011 is a sticker from Scrapbook Customs (found it at my LSS) which I mounted on red then black Bazzill and foam mounted on the DP.  The Congratulations was stamped and then mounted on just black.  The background paper is from Reminisce.  This was mounted on red then black.  Use any school color and you have that card that can be made in around 15 minutes.  How simple.  Hope you Enjoy.

Easter Blessings

Easter Blessings to all.  This was made to wish all who follow a Happy Easter.

I also decided to enter it into Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge #15
This is a color challenge of White and Gold with some embossing.  My embossing began with little flowers on the white.  (a new folder I got with my new Cuttelbug). This was mounted on gold.  I then used Versa Mark to stamp  and heat emboss The cross by Heartfelt Creations -Vintage Cross on gold and cut it out.  I stamped the flower in the center on the white again and embossed it.  The Easter greeting is from JustRite's "Happy Everything Tag' set.  Three pearls from Amuse and the card was done.  Hope you enjoy

Make a Wish

The Shabby Tea Room is hosting a Pastels and Stripes challenge.  Soooo--"Make a Wish" is a stamp set by Penny Black.  These cute little critters are a part of that set and were colored with Copic Markers..  The sentiment is from "Happy Everything" by JustRite and cut with the new Spellbinder Grommet Tag.  The stamped image was cut with Spellbinder labels15.  I then used my copic air brush to highlight the edges.  The leaves were cut on a scrap with the new Spellbinder "Foliage" set.  Maya Road ribbon flowers were colored using the Copic Airbrush,  The brads are from My Mind's Eye.  The paper is from the  6x6 Echo Park paper "Summer Days" pad.  On a cloudy in MN this is a little breath of spring.  Distress ink Dusty Concord was used on the Grommet Tag.  Hope you enjoy.

Nature's Sentiment

JustRite Friday Challenge 053 is a technique to make your own flower embellishments.  Spellbinders is the sponsor of this challenge.

This card began with the selection of Graphic 45 "Curtain Call" Papers.  The sentiment from JustRite "Nature's Sentiment" was stamped on "Tour de France" and cut out with a Spellbinder beaded oval die, embossed and then distressed with Walnut Stain.  The background paper is "Pantomine" and mounted on "Leading Ladies".  Distress ink "Walnut Stain" was used on all edges and paper elements of the card.  The paper flowers were cut with the new Spellbinder "Rose Creation" die set and held together with gold brads from My Minds Eye and Bo Bunny.  Small ribbon flowers were created with a wire ribbon with gold specks (company unknown) and intertwined with the paper flowers.  Black swirl gems were added to finish the card.  Hope you enjoy.

Friends

JustRite is hosting a color challenge this week and I used the copic markers suggested as my inspiration.  For this project Copic Y21(Buttercup yellow),YG63 (Pea green), YR65 (Atoll) and B63 (light Hydrangea) were used.  JustRite sets Bird Houses and You inspire me  were used.  Spellbinders-Rose Creations, Fanciful flight Butterflies, Petite Oval large and Labels One helped complete the look.  The paper is four selections from Jillibean soup:  Dutch Mustard  that all have some element of the color challenge in them.  Pearls were colored with the Copic B63 to add the blue to the card.  The Butterfly was cut and vellum was added.  The base of the butterfly and the oval were cut on paper from AmericanCraft: Peachy Keen.  Distress ink was used on the edges, oval and birdhouses.

"Life is good"

"LIfe is Good" is a stamp by Technique Tuesday.  This was made as a sample for the Fond Memories workshop held on April 9.  For this card I made it a window cutting the front with my Spellbinder label 12.  The image on the inside and the "Life is good" label were stamped with Versafine Majestic Blue.  It has slipped my mind what brand the paper is.  Hope you enjoy.

Betsy Bluebell

Betsy Bluebell is a stamp by Penny Black.  I wanted this to be a simple card that can be used for a friends birthday.  The image was stamped and then colored with Copic Markers.  I then cut it out with a Spellbinder oval and edged with Distress Ink Walnut Stain.  This was mounted on a cream paper cut with oval scallops and it too was distressed.  The DP for this card is Chilled Strawberry soup from Jillibean.  A tag was cut with the DP from Fancy Tags Two by Spellbinder.  An oval was cut from the cream and edged in Walnut Stain then stamped with a sentiment from the JustRite Happy Everything set.   A flower was cut from the Rose Creations by Spellbinders and a My Minds Eye brad was used for the center.  Hope you enjoy

Almost a year

Morning.  In just a few days my blog will be one year old with over 100 posts.  This has been so much fun.  I have not had time to make a new card as am helping prepare for the big Fond Memories workshop on April 9.  SOOOO I thought I would share my very first card post with you.  Those that did not follow will enjoy it and some may recognize it as it sits at Fond Memories still today.  This card was made using a Penny Black stamp "Day Dream" and of course I used my Copic Markers and Spellbinders.  Thank you for making this a fun year.  Hope you enjoy.
