Forever Memories

Unity Stamps is hosting a sketch challenge using their Kit of the Month Stamps.  I just received the July 2011 " ...better together "  set so here is the first card I made using the new set.
The paper is new from Cosmo Cricket "Odds and Ends" scraps.  I used Spellbinder ovals to cut out my stamped set and distressed the bottom layer with Antique Linen.  Memento Tuxedo Black was used to stamp the image.  I cut the bike and pop dotted it.  I turned the sketch to the side and added a ribbon.  Hope you enjoy.

This is my second post for the Summer Card Camp that I am doing online.  The colors are yellow, orange, red and two shades of green.  I found in my stash a pad of 6 x6 Cosmo Cricket paper that I think works for this challenge.  This cute little girl is from Mo Manning.  I used glossy accents on the butterflies;  Hope  you enjoy.

Thank You

This card was created for the On-line Summer Card Camp.  I had the perfect paper for the color selection (yellow, orange, red, and two shades of green)  and just could not decide how to make a card from it.  I just did not have the right stamp for this card so decided to make a simple Thank You card.  My mind is still working on something a little more detailed.  I had Cosmo Cricket paper in a 6 x 6 pad that had the perfect color combo as you can see from the color sample to the right.  A Spellbinder labels 6 was used for the Thank You ( a stamp from CTMH).  The solid red is a Bazzill and I traced around the die used to stamp the Thank You.  The ribbon is from May Arts and I made it a three bow.  The little button in the center is the tomato from the paper with glossy accents on it.  You can see a close up below.  Very simple.  Hope you enjoy.

Friendship

There is always time for Friendship is a stamp from Hero Arts and was perfect for the purpose of this card.  The card is also being entered in The Shabby Tea Room challenge for this week.  It is an inspiration challenge from the photo to the left.   The pearls are from Kaiser while the lace is Maya Road. and a ribbon from May Arts overlays it.  The tissue paper flower was cut with a Spellbinder Large Scallop circle and then distressed with Fire Brick and Antique linen.  Each of the 3 sizes that make up the flower were cut 8 thick and a brad was used to hold them together. The gem in the center was a find in a button bag.  Spellbinder Labels 20 and Grommet tags were used for the sentiment tag.  Simple and hope you enjoy.

Enjoy Your Day

This card was made for the color challenge at JustRite Friday Challenge 055
You are to use a light-medium blue, Ivory, Kraft/Tan.  The copic marker colors given were B01 Mint Blue, E41 Pearl White and E43 Dull Ivory.  I have to say I only have one of the one of three Copic colors so I selected to only color the small flowers on the JustRite image with B02. A chocolote gem from Amuse completes the center of the flowers.  I used Spellbinder Labels 13 for both the Kraft and Ivory papers.  I decided to emboss the Kraft label with a folder from Stamp'in Up.  The DP that I used is from Cosmo Cricket.  The brown bow (a color we could add) is from May Arts ribbon with a brad from My Mind's eye and a Pearl pin from Maya Road.  The JustRite set used for this is Heart to Heart, a set I just added to my stamp collection.  The ivory lace is from May Arts.  The edges of all the papers were distressed with Antique Linen.  Hope you enjoy

Breath of Spring

This card was made for the JustRite Friday Challenge 054.  This was a sketch challenge.   This was fun as I used my new Grand Calibur Scalloped Squares for the card base.  The card is a 5.5 x 5.5 base.  The paper used is from Cosmo Cricket "Pixie-Licious".  I used three different papers from the set to complete the card.  A strip was cut and edged with lace which was then added to the DP.  The stamped flower is from the JustRite set a Breath of Spring as I do not have any of the new flower sets and were colored with Copic Markers.  This was stamped twice and  a small portion was cut out to add a three dimensional effect.  Happy Birthday was added from the Happy Everything set from JustRite. The stamped image was mounted on a scallop rectangle cut with a Spellbinder die.   Pearls from Amuse make up the center as well as on the Butterfly which was cut with a Spellbinder die and embossed.  A clear glitter pen was used to create a little glimmer to the butterfly. I had distressed it too.  The Butterfly was mounted on yellow ribbon that  is a triple bow.  Large Hero Arts pearls are mounted on the upper right corner.
Hope you enjoy.

Joy this Christmas

Today's JustRite Friday Challenge #036 is to use this color combination plus you were to add an embellishment you have made.

Easel view

For this challenge I decided to make an easel card using the Justrite Christmas Nested Sentiments as the focal point.  This was stamped on ivory paper with Memento ink and then cut with a Spellbinder octagon die.  A Black frame was cut and mounted on the ivory paper.  The octagon was mounted on paper from Cosmo Cricket from their Mitten Weather Mini Deck.    The fleur was made  freehanded using Amuse pretty pearls black.  The flower was cut from the Cosmo Cricket paper and the ivory card stock with the large scallop dies from Spellbinder and crumbled.  The edges of the flower were distressed with Ranger Distress Black Soot and held together with an ivory pearl brad from American Crafts.  A clear button was mounted over a cute little snow lady colored with Copic markers from the JustRite Holiday Cheer set and placed on Cosmo Cricket paper to add a little festive touch to the card.  A Martha Stewart punch was used for the lattice on the base. Hope you enjoy.

JustRite Challenge 029-Sketch-Squares

Inside of the card
JustRite has a sketch challenge this week using squares.  I decided to make a square Christmas card using the Backyard Birds Set (a round set made into a square for this challenge) and Christmas Nested Sentiments and made it an inside/out card.  The paper is doubled sided from Cosmo Cricket "Christmas" and both sides were used to complete the card.  The image on the front was stamped with Momento ink and colored with Copic Markers, cut with Spellbinders and double mounted on the Cosmo Cricket paper then on gold cardstock.  I used Tea Dye distress ink to darken the image.   Stickles "Star Dust" was brushed on the tree branches, (hard to see in the picture)  while Glossy Accents was placed on the snow for a little dimension.  A Martha Stewart punch was used to create the lattice panel with the image placed with foam dots.  A Spellbinder label was used to cut the backside of the main paper and stamped with the Christmas nested sentiments and a gold ribbon finished off the label.  Th Christmas Nested Sentiments, the Cosmo Cricket paper  and the Martha Steward punch were used on the inside of the card.  I had fun making this card and hope you enjoy.

Celebrate

For the JustRite Friday Challenge # 24.  To make this card we were to use Red, White and Blue paper and oval sets from JustRite.  So I used JustRite's all Occasion Nested Sentiments stamping it on a strip of white  and the Breath of Spring oval to make this fun little card.  The layout made it simple to assemble using Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety Sunday picnic paper along with Bazzill white and dark blue.  I stamped the flowers with Momento Black and colored with Copic Markers.    I cut the flower with a Spellbinder oval and foam mounted on the  border that was cut with an oval too.  I  mounted these on a Spellbinder scallop oval.  A little gemstone by Hero Arts added a center to the flowers.  A glimmer pen added a little shimmer to the border and ribbon on the flowers.  From my stash  ribbon was added to the strip created with a  Martha Stewart punch  to finish out this card.  Perhaps it can be for the Fourth of July, a birthday or other special occasion.  Hope you enjoy my multi-purpose card.

Country Girl

Country Girl is a Sarah Kay stamp by Stampavie.  I made this card  for  That's Krafty Thursday #31 Challenge.  I learned about this when I checked a friend's blog.  Posting to the TKT posed a few challenges, but I finally made it-twice.  This cute little girl was colored with Copic markers then mounted on Kraft paper.  I then used Cosmo Cricket-- DeLirious and mounted that on Kraft paper.  The sentiment by A Muse was stamped on Kraft paper as well.  The image and mat were cut with a label by Spellbinders.  Hope you enjoy
