Thank You

JustRite is sponsoring a Friday Challenge #062:  Give Thanks .  For this challenge I purchased a fall candle at a big box store.  The next step was to decorate the candle so that you could not see the logo on the glass.  This will be a Thank You for a helper at school so I wanted to make a card too and make this a true gift set..  Two JustRite sets were used to complete the project:  Heart to Heart and All Occassion nested sentiments.  The papers are from Imaginisce and Bazzill.  I used the Orchard Harvest Tags and Accents from Spellbinders on both the candle and the card.  Edgeabilities are on the border going around the candle and also on the card.  Classic Postage Stamp, Classic Scallop and Classic Ric Rac were used in a variety of combinations.  Distress Ink Antique Linen and Walnut Stain were used on the card.  Walnut Stain was used to stamp the Just for you and Thank You.  Seam Binding was stained with Antique Linen Stain and crumbled up to make the bow.  A paper leaf was cut to finish off the bow.  Below are individual pictures of each part of the project.

School is Cool

Oh I had some fun today.  I decided to make a little 3 x 4 notebook that can be used as a gift for a student or teacher.  At CHA we took two classes that used the Bind-it-all and of course when they offered to sell them at a great price I just had to get one.  Learning to use it may take some time.  Made some mistakes with binding this project but it still turned out.  The stamp is a new one from Unity Stamps "School is Cool" and colored yellow with a Copic marker.   The paper is from Imaginisce "Teacher's Pet-When's recess?".  The ribbon was white that I colored using green, blue and red copic markers.  So many ways that this stamp and paper can be used.  This is just a simple one.  Hope you enjoy.

Ice Cream Man

I just learned of a new stamp company Hambo Stamps.  This cute stamp is one of their digi stamps.  The paper I purchased at Fond Memories is from Imaginisce "A shore thing--Feel the Burn".  The solid is Bazzill.  The blue was cut with the Grand Calibur scallop squares.  I used my regular ovals to cut the image.   The card is a 5 1/2 square.  The image was colored with a variety of Copic Markers and was distress with Antique Linen.  The ribbon is from May Arts and was colored with a blue copic then accented with a brade from My Mind's Eye.  Hope you enjoy.

Cheeky boy ???

EDIT:  I was not totally happy with this card so did some adjustments and have the before and after ( above) both posted here for you to view.  Cheeky Boy is a Penny Johnson stamp from Stampavie.  For the purpose of this card I made it a cute little girl rather than a boy as the stamp lends to either gender.  This was cut using a Spellbinder curved rectangle die and distressed with Antique Linen.  Using a variety of Copic Markers to color the image a feeling of Spring appears.  The paper is from the Imaginisce 6 x 6 Enchanted pad.  The flowers are from my stash and are finished of with a pearl that I have colored for the center.  The sentiment is from my stash as well.  A really simple, fun to color card.  Hope you enjoy.

Have a Fabulous Birthday

Have a Fabulous Birthday is from the JustRite "You Inspire Me" cling set.  This card was made for the JustRite Friday Challenge 048.  This time it is a sketch challenge (shown at the bottom of this post).  American Crafts Letterbox paper was used for the background of the card.  Since the back of the DP was pink I used it for the stamped image and for the border (using a MS border punch).  I stamped the background image with Memento black and cut it by hand.  The round lace border was stamped and cut with a Spellbinder circle and the sentiment was added and foam mounted on the larger  image.  Other papers used were Bazzill black and paper from Imaginisce "To cherish and love".  The bow is a double created on the Bow Easy and accented with a pearl brad by American Crafts,  Hope you enjoy

Christmas Time Tree

A quick card using a Hero Arts stamp from my stash colored with copic markers.  Add some stickles to the star and gems using the iRock from Imaginisce.  The paper is from My Minds Eye (if you notice I kind of used this on several cards posted here).  The sentiment is from JustRite using one of their new Spellbinder dies to make the tag.  The paper was cut using the Grand Calibur and the nesties that go with it.  Hope you enjoy.  Happy Holiday

Celebrate the good times

JustRite Friday Challenge 045: Celebrate Good Times, Sponsored by Flower Soft!  For this challenge I created a Christmas card using JustRite's Christmas Nested Sentiments.  This was stamped, distressed with Antique Linen and then sprayed with Glimmer Mist.  A border was cut from Spellbinder's Jewel Tones foil with labels 16 and embossed with snowflakes by Cuttelbug.  I attended a workshop at CHA  where we learned to use the iTool from Imaginisce so I used that to create the silver jewel effect on the stamped sentiment.  I added a pretty double sided bow (red and silver) from May Arts.  All of this was placed on paper from Cosmo Cricket,  Hope you enjoy
