JustRite is hosting Friday challenge #63: Christmas to help all of us in getting those holiday cards done. This is not only a card, but a gift card. I used an 11 x 5.5 piece of paper. I scored at 4.25 on each end as well as the center line. This was folded and of course I used score tape to hold the card together. I made a cut with a square Spellbinder die for the card to sit in and covered it with the same paper used on the front of the card. The inside has a little border using a Spellbinder Edgeabilities die. The Happy Holiday sentiment is from the JustRite Christmas Nested sentiments. This is pictured below.
The front of the card is made with a Spellbinder Heirloom Ornament 2010 cut from red Bazzill paper. This was layered over paper by Graphic 45. A frame using two circle dies was made to frame a cutout I made. (you could just cut the image with the circle too). Copic markers were used to color this cute little snowman from JustRite Warmest Wishes. Ranger Enamel and Hero Arts glitter were used on the white for a little sparkle. A small tag using JusRite Christmas mini sentiments distressed with Antique Linen was added too. The bow is made with seam binding colored with Ranger Bundled Sage Distress Stain. A twine bow was added to finish the bow. Gems and embellishments are from AMuse, Hero Arts and 7 Gypsies.
One of the most rewarding things is to share with others the works you have done.

Peace, Love and Joy
Peace, Love and Joy is a sentiment from Hero Arts and is being used with a cute candle from Heartfelt Creations. The card began with the ribbon strip which was made using a Sew Ribbon from WeR Memory Keepers that was put on a scrap of paper one inch by five and half and then mounted on a solid. The candle was colored with a variety of Copic markers and cut by hand. White enamel was used with the glitter for a little sparkle. Pearl gems were used in the center of the flower. A simple card. Hope you enjoy

Merry Christmas
A fun little Christmas card made with Spellbinder circle dies for the shape. The stamp is one from Penny Black "berry wreath' that was stamped on Kraft paper with Color Box white. The sentiment was stamped with Memento 'tuxedo black" from a Hero Arts cling set. The new holiday seasonal distress ink red from Ranger was used on the edges to make it stand out. Hero Arts gems were used on the project. The poinsettia was cut out of white paper with a Spellbinder die and distressed with Antique Linen distress ink. The Kraft project was mounted on POW glitter paper from American Crafts. A circle card base was cut and the project was mounted on it. Hope you enjoy.

Thank You
JustRite is sponsoring a Friday Challenge #062: Give Thanks . For this challenge I purchased a fall candle at a big box store. The next step was to decorate the candle so that you could not see the logo on the glass. This will be a Thank You for a helper at school so I wanted to make a card too and make this a true gift set.. Two JustRite sets were used to complete the project: Heart to Heart and All Occassion nested sentiments. The papers are from Imaginisce and Bazzill. I used the Orchard Harvest Tags and Accents from Spellbinders on both the candle and the card. Edgeabilities are on the border going around the candle and also on the card. Classic Postage Stamp, Classic Scallop and Classic Ric Rac were used in a variety of combinations. Distress Ink Antique Linen and Walnut Stain were used on the card. Walnut Stain was used to stamp the Just for you and Thank You. Seam Binding was stained with Antique Linen Stain and crumbled up to make the bow. A paper leaf was cut to finish off the bow. Below are individual pictures of each part of the project.

Wonder and Wishes
If you are looking for a simple card that does not take long to make for the holiday this is technique works well. This technique was demonstrated by Jennifer McGuire for the Holiday Card Boot Camp 2011. I decided not to emboss the card as she did but used paper by Little Yellow Bicycle. Using a Spellbinder die I cut a circle through the DP and card stock. A tree was stamped using My Mind's Eye "Lost and Found Christmas Stamps". Happy Holiday is from the same set and stamped on a cream by Bazzil. The tree is attached to the stamped strip which is then attached to the card. Hero Arts gems were used on the tree and stamped strip. A small star brad was attached to the top of the tree. A very simple card. Hope you enjoy.

Peace & Love at Christmas
Thank you to Selma Stevenson for the inspiration for this card. The stamped sentiment is from JustRite "Christmas Nested Sentiments". Spellbinder Labels 4 and Grand labels 4 was used for the card. A Cuttelbug snowflake folder was used for the embossing. Spellbinder Poinsettia's were cut from the same paper as the card. Distress Ink Antique Linen was used to distress the card base, sentiment and flowers. The center of the flower is a Candi from Craftworkcards. This was a very simple card to make. Hope you enjoy
Wise Men still seek him
The Wisemen Ornament set is from Heartfelt Creations. This card was made using American Craft glitter paper, a gold vellum, navy blue paper and Ranger embossing tinsel. A Kaiser Kraft gem was added to the top of the ornament. The card is made simple in order to highlight the stamped image. A Spellbinder scalloped square acts as a base for the ornament (which was cut by hand). This and several other new Heartfelt Stamps can be found at Fond Memories. Stop by and this card will be there too. Hope you enjoy.
