A Fabulous Birthday
This card started with the new paper I purchased from WeR Memory Keepers "Anthologie". The colors are so pretty and I could not wait to create with them. Joan's Garden is having a challenge in which you create a pretty card with flowers you make. The flowers on this card began with a Spellbinder Scalloped Circle. I used four of the dies and two DP papers. A little crunching and a brad/pearl and the flower was done. Well maybe alot of crunching was needed on both flowers as the paper is a little stiff. This is a technique that I used a couple of years ago and have not done since. A sentiment from the Penny Black set "Sweet Wishes" was stamped on an oval cut with a Spellbinder "Floral Oval". A string of pearl gems frames the sentiment. This paper is popped up on the card base. Pearl gems also highlight two of the corners. Several layers of the DP used in the frame and flowers make up the base of the card. A fun and really a rather simple card to make. Hope you enjoy

a day to celebrate
Wanting to make something a little different I looked at Joan"s Garden Challenge for this week and here it is. The challenge is to use flowers and make a pretty card. I hope you can see the many flowers in the design of the card. I started with Bo Bunny "Back to Basics" paper and a die from Memory Box "Twirling Vine Frame (cut in white). Very small pearls were added on what appears to be small flowers on the frame. The card itself is a 5 x 7 in size. The flowers are from the same paper using a Spellbinder Die "bitty blossoms". The flowers were tipped with a Copic Marker R85. The sentiment from Penny Black "Gratitude" was stamped on another Bo Bunny "Back to Basics" paper and edged with the Distress marker Worn Lipstick. The paper was cut with a Spellbinder oval and placed on top of a Spellbinder "Floral" oval cut from white. Three pearls were added to finish off the oval. A butterfly was cut with a Memory Box die from the DP and distressed with Worn Lipstick Distress Stain . The center of the butterfly was distressed with an distress marker. This was placed on a silk bow and a pearl pin added. Close ups can be seen of both the butterfly and the flowers (taken from a top view). This was fun to make. Hope you enjoy.

All My Love
This was a sample card I made for the Fond Memories Spring workshop to highlight the stamp set I used. This is from the JustRite "With Sympathy" set. The image is colored with Copic Markers and mounted on a purple frame cut with the new Spellbinder 'Floral Oval" Die. A Spellbinder ribbon tag was used for the sentiment which was distressed with Dusty Concord. A really simple card to make. Fun too. Hope you enjoy.

Sweet and Sassy
JustRite Friday Challenge #070 -- "Pretty Papers".
This JustRite Stampers challenge is to create your own background paper. Using the JustRite Topsy Turvy Cakes set a background was created of flowers. Four small flowers from the set were repeated on a piece of Neenah solar white paper. The flowers and leaves were colored with Copic Markers-RV00, YG03, Y13 and Y08. The paper was then distressed with Antique Linen. A green bow was added with a pearl pin. A button holds the sentiment tag stamped from the same JustRite set and cut with a Spellbinder Floral Oval. Distress ink was used on the tag as well. This was mounted on a card base that was distressed with Peeled Paint for a narrow green border. A simple card. Hope you Enjoy.

A card for any occasion
A sneak peak at one of the stamps being used for the Fond Memories workshop this weekend. The card shown here is a sample I made and not the workshop project. This is a card for most any occasion made using the JustRite "With Sympathy set", Spellbinder Grand square scallops and regular squares were used for the base of the card. Antique Linen distress was used on the white paper. (sorry I do not remember the paper used for the top of the card). A Spellbinder die (name slips me) was used to cut the floral image which was colored with Copic markers and distressed. A bow, some gems and a pin finish off the card. Fun to make. Hope you enjoy

Special Wishes to those with an April Birthday
Both stamp sets used are from Penny Black: Big Wish and Gratitude. This Penny Black set reminds me of my Granddaughter. Copic markers (pictured below) were used to color the image. Antique Linen distress ink was used to finish off the image circle cut with a Spellbinder Die. The patterned paper is from a 6 x 6 Cosmo Cricket "Pixie-Licious". The solid papers are ones I created using a technique from Tim Holtz. I used distress ink to color the paper and then added Ranger Fine detail clear embossing powder and then heat set it. This was used on the background behind the stamped image, the green border cut with a Spellbinder Edgeabilities and the paper ribbon. Archival black ink was used to stamp the sentiment before adding the embossing powder on the paper ribbon. The Distress Ink colors used were Dusty Concord, Peeled Paint and Tattered Rose. A purple bow was added to finish off the sketch challenge. A fun card to make. Hope you enjoy.

Happy Birthday
JustRite Stampers Friday Challenge this week is to create a spring card with a butterfly. I Started the card with BasicGrey "Picadilly" paper and a JustRite "Breath of Spring" stamp. The flower image was stamped and cut with a Spellbinder oval. Copic markers were used to color the image and Antique Linen distress finished off the oval. The stamped image was mounted on the new Spellbinder Floral oval. A JustRite "Happy Everything" "Happy Birthday" was stamped and cut with a Spellbinder Tag. While taking the Tim Holtz online class he showed how to use the Rock Candy Crackle Paint and I thought it would make a perfect butterfly. Hope you can see it in the picture on the right (it will enlarge if you click on the picture). I cut the butterfly using the Sizzix die and added the paint and allowed it to air dry. After it had dried I used my Memento markers on it and added some pearls to finish it. I put this on a ribbon that was colored with Antique Linen Distress ink and added a pearl pin colored with a Copic Marker-RV32 . This is a 4.25 x 5.5 card. Copic markers used include Y15, Y18, RV32, B21, YG91, YG93 Hope you enjoy.

Bold Pop Designs
The inspiration for this card came from a "Clean and Simple" card class I took a few months ago. No it is not a windmill. The stamp and die set used is from Hero Arts/Sizzix "Bold Pop Designs". This card was made for Fond Memories in Walnut Grove and can be seen there. I stamped the flower on white paper and inked with a Memento yellow and cut it. The blue was stamped with one of the flowers and a VersaMark pad for a watermark effect. A circle was cut with Spellbinders on the blue paper, the corners were punched. The next step was to take yellow twine wrapping it around and then mounting on white. The flower was added with a pearl gem in the center. A Spellbinder tag was cut and stamped with a Penny Black "gratitude" sentiment. I really like this Penny Black set from their "T for Transparent" series. The card is rather simple and lots of fun to make. Hope you enjoy
